    What's for Desert?

It's Friday, so we need a Desert thread! It's also Summer so there's tons of great seasonal deserts to be had.

I made a strudel with fresh raspberries from the garden. The versatility of strudels is underrated. One can put so many different fillings in them.

Post pictures of great deserts... make people jelly.

Desert is currently omnipotent... so better not touch it.

Typically around here it's Palm Springs, that's the closest. But I could also drive out to Death Valley.

Nothing, topped with a generous amount of frothy parental disappointment, floating atop a combination of depression, poverty, and self loathing, with a light sprinkle of life's regrets.

Our 7 Eleven's had buy 2 get 1 on Reeses products. I might have to see if they are still doing it.

I prefer my desert with rocks that move.

Give me some puff pastry, berry reduction, edible foil, and a cotton candy machine...

But really, ice cream. Goddamn ice cream. It was 115F(~46C) at work today inside, 108F(~42C) outside. Just put a few pints on my head. I don't care which flavors.

Good tip. Adding cactus fruit strudel to my list of things to bake.

I think it would be killer seasoned with some cinnamon and star anise. And a white curry chocolate drizzle... mmmmm

Piñon nuts to top it for a real south western theme.
