That's probably from that one private server that allows modding and gives everyone GM powers so that they can make use of their mods, could also be just someone's personal server that they're fucking around with but leaning more towards the former as it's just easier and anyone can do it and there's plenty of people who have done it in the past and even share their custom creations on their forums with one another.

Pretty much everything in that picture is ass. The spec being a weird mash of troll necromancy and human stuff is the least offensive thing.

Fake. I tried the link literally seconds after you posted it and it's not real. The LK image obviously is, but this "screenshot" and story description and expansion name are certainly not.

Yeah, there's a lot wrong with that "screenshot". The character's name and resource bars look like ass as well.

I was willing to think they might have redone them but the action bar is obviously shopped. Also the terrain looks low res.

Proxy wars are something this game could use. It's always red versus blue but none of the grounded conflict from W3 lore. Race lore suffers from being generalized into factions.

Yeah, the limitations of the faction system make any real development kind of impossible. WC3 had a coherent narrative that didn't end off with every side in the relative same place as they started.

WoD’s excuse was the revamped player character models, which was an incredible amount of work. Blizzard even acknowledged that they didn’t do a new race in WoD because they were updating 10.

And if 9.0 introduces expanded character customization, the rest of the heritage sets, and some warlock green fire style cosmetic upgrades for some classes, they can use the same rationalization for why there wouldn't be a new class.

Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting a new class and would like a new class. I just don't think it's guaranteed.

Sounds about right. There's lots of placeholder "?" icons mixed in with icons that have been used for years. Not a single unique asset yet... Which would be weird considering they'd be showcasing it in less than a week.

That Dark Shaman picture looks terrible. The Dark Shamans in Siege of Orgrimmar use toxic, iron, froststorm and earth spells, while that talent tree is just... spirits, with one or two toxic looking things. Looks like a Necromancer more than anything, what do Dark Shamans have to do with zombies and death?

The Coming Soons I can see. Usually classes with heavy changes will have those even into the beta process.

It is meant to be a Necromancer, not sure why the other thread called it a Dark Shaman. Either way it's something straight out of a private server that I cannot mention due to the forum rules.

Honestly, the "leak" uses so many different themes that it's probably appropriate to not know what to call it. That shit is some sort of an abomination of all death related things.
