    So... how powerful is Azshara???

now that we are at the end of expansion and saw what Azshara can do (well, we did before the end but whatever), how powerful is she compared to some top tier characters like Khadgar, Archimonde, Kil'jaeden, Illidan, Jaina, Wild Gods???

Stronger then Khadgar, jaina, illidan, wild gods.
likely weaker then archimonde, but as strong as kiljaden.
as the pitlord said back when she was just an elf she was likely only rivaled by archimonde and kiljaden themselves.
but now that she is more powerful, i could see her being stronger then the weaker but more intelligent of the two.

Not very. Her power lies in her reputation, magically she's quite pathetic.

i mean not true at all, she was able to prevent even jaina from doing literally anything. and illidan did not want to mess with her, and you know how cocky he is.
even a pitlord knew his place with her.

remember illidan could literally SEE POWER and when he looked at azshara she lit up like a christmas tree.

    eh not exactly.

rivaled is when you are comparable to someone.

Archimonde was on a whole different level.

he wasn't afraid of her but was surprised that she isn't only talk and stature but also a powerful sorceress.

If we go by how 8.2 treated her, like a damn wet noodle. But in lore, one of the most powerful beings known to Azeroth and the universe as it seems.

And yet we roll in and slap her down like a wet fish while the power she displays in her fight is much less impressive than Jaina's fight, relying on minions and titan tech while her actual magical capabilities are shown to be pathetic.

Illidan probably just saw the illusion of power.

you know, they do always mention on Azeroth.

I guess there are some pretty OP beings outside of Legion and Void related beings.

while I do agree that Azshara isn't as powerful as she was described, Jaina still put her above herself and called her the strongest sorcerer on Azeroth.

IDK if you know... but she is not relying on the titan tech... we are....

the titan tech is the only thing preventing us from dying... she tries to drain the titan tech so that we die... i think you missed the entire fight my dude...

also no, we dont slap her down like a wet fish, we need help from jaina, lothremar, thalysra, and titanic machinery.

According to Lady Azshara and her court of Highbornes, Lady Azshara was the most powerful being in the universe excluding Lord Sargeras, who was equal to her.

For everyone else she was very damn powerful - at least as much as Archimonde and Kil'jaeden.

Sure as fuck seemed the other way around. She was draining power from the machines to empower herself.

Also lol at Lor'themar, Thalyssra and Shandris being of any use at all.

Well, most of bosses were mortals transformed by her.

Vastly less than she think she is.

She is as weak or as powerful as the story requires her to be.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

She is still shown to be powerful, sure. But it feels all too quick to get rid of such a powerful lore character, kind of like Kil'Jaeden in 7.3.

I just wish WoW could focus on these villains for longer than a patch.

Yes. It is especially bad when you see how much time was wasted on Sadfang and friends.

I don't think it was wasted time just wasted potential. Split attention wastes so much potential on either story - we had the War and the oncoming threats at the same time, creating this clusterfuck of lore.

nah Azshara is too prideful to let herself get beaten like that.
