"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"
"We don't care if it's the first act of Henry the Fifth, we're leaving!"
No, it was 2handed in Warcraft 3 for mechanical reasons because the Paladin model was made to use a 2handed weapon, and didn't have animations for 1hander. So it used the 2handed animations.

Does this look like a 2handed sword to you?
It's a longsword period, lore describes it as a two handed longsword, and we didn't call it a greatsword at all, so why did you bring that up?
If you're familiar with Shad, you should know what a longsword is, and you should know that longswords do in fact sheathe at the hip despite being two handed weapons.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.
Except that the Frostmourne Arthas model had unique attack animations for the sword and did not utilize all the hammer attack animations. So, if they'd wanted him to 1 hand it, it wouldn't have been an issue since they unique animated it anyways.
Depending on how one orients their sheath, you can get a long sword on your hip. See: Aragorn and Anduril.

Yeah it does, he's just holding it in a one hand position, its pretty common thing to do with two handed swords and long swords. BIG SHOCKDoes this look like a 2handed sword to you?
#TeamLegion #UnderEarthofAzerothexpansion plz #Arathor4Alliance #TeamNoBlueHorde
Warrior-Magi
Then why does he fight with it with 2 hands in HotS, WoW, and every cinematic?
Does this look like a 2handed sword to you?
Yes. The angle it's being held at makes it look shorter than it really is.
No sword with a hilt that long, long enough to comfortably place two hands on, is a one handed sword.

Then the actual 2handed swords that are as tall as a person must be 4handed swords.

Because he just holds it with two hands despite being a 1hander, because Blizzard decided that he wouldn't look good with a shield in his left hand.
What's even the argument? It's a two-handed sword Arthas can use with one hand, why is this a debate? It has a two-handed grip.
That's not how that works.
As I've told you before 2h vs 1h is about point of balance, not length.
Official lore quite specifically disagrees with you on this. Your opinion is in fact inaccurate. Go read Blood of the Highborne chapter 2, very specifically calls it a two handed longsword. Go watch Shad's videos on longswords - you've already posted a video from him, so I know you're familiar with the channel, you can bet your ass if we asked him he'd say it was a two handed sword.Because he just holds it with two hands despite being a 1hander, because Blizzard decided that he wouldn't look good with a shield in his left hand.
In fact, just watch the video YOU posted in THIS thread, the two swords on the left on the wall behind him, THOSE are longswords, two handed weapons.
Edit: here, I'll even timestamp it for you.

"So, on the wall here we have two swords (gestures to the two swords on our left) that are undisputedly longswords."

Seems like there is room to me
And before you say "but Arthas is bigger" look at the screenshots with Arthas holding it.
I admire Butt Witch's perseverance when no one else in the thread has agreed.
