Nope, though it may vary by state, if you're on private property you don't need a license. Mostly for farms or such, obviously doesn't apply to parking lots or similar that are open to the public. Same way there are various rules for vehicle standards ("street legal") that do not apply on private property, so dirt bikes don't need rear view mirrors or lights.

    I've told this before here.

My dad is has had guns all his life and even got CC in NYC since the 1970s.

He now has 3 left in his older aged life.

He has one next to his chair at all times while watching tv.

He has one in the dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen counter where he apparently thinks at his age he is going to vault over the counter to grab the gun and have a shoot out with people at the only entrance to the place.
    (he never uses the dishwasher).

The third travels. To the point we have to ask him, verify where they are before the kids come over.

He has bullets in the freezer. I know, i know we tried to tell him....but he thinks he is going to have to reload while hiding behind the fridge door.
He has clips hidden throughout the house.

This is one of the main reasons why we have not hired cleaning service him.

He needs HHA to come after surgery on his foot, we might have to take his guns away.... which he already thinks Biden is going to come take them anyway.

We'll blame it on Biden just so we don't have to deal with it

They don't, unless they want to get quite rightfully laid out in a pile for their effort. And I don't just mean by the police.

Rioters get hit with tear-gas because it's the alternative a just society offers to just annihilating them. It is not a harsher alternative to "room to destroy".

If you are a genuinely peaceful protestor and a riot breaks out around you, your only ethical and intelligent move is to clear out and protest somewhere else. You should try to get away from rioters like Penelope tries to steer clear of Pepe Le Pew.

Why would surgery mean having to disarm? Worried the home assistant is going to steal them? Or is it just bootstrapping for any excuse to disarm him?

Doesn't read like he does anything unreasonable, notwithstanding what you think of the tactical utility of dishwasher guns or freezer ammo. If one "travels" it's probably because he home carries, which, again, is a reasonable thing gun owners often do. If you think he's non compos and can't discern friend or foe, should talk to him about it like adults. Using an excuse to disarm him dishonors him and shames you, frankly.

Look, a well-regulated militia in charge of threatening kids on bikes.

Peach County woman charged with pointing gun at two kids

She told the deputy she got a call from neighbors that two people were on her property. The report notes it wasn't her home, but a piece of land that houses a construction shop and animals

She said she grabbed her gun and drove from her home to confront the trespassers. One ran back home while another stayed behind.

Both minors, an unnamed 13-year-old and 12-year-old, told the responding deputy they were riding their bikes and went to go look at the animals. They said Compton arrived and told them to “Stop or I’ll shoot you.”

The deputy then asked if she'd pointed her gun at them, and she said no. She then said she didn’t remember what happened, but that she didn’t realize they were minors.

After listening to statements, the deputy determined that Compton wasn’t in immediate danger or faced a threat to her life.

“Mrs. Compton was not on scene when the juveniles entered the property, and decided to approach and engage them without waiting for law enforcement to arrive, indicating that she was never in fear for her safety,” reads the report.

You'll find countless articles from 2008 fear mongering that as soon as Obama was inaugurated all your guns were being taken away. There was a massive run on guns and in particular ammo, driving prices through the roof. No ban ever happened unsurprisingly. All it did was make gun shops a bunch of money and a lot of people overpaid for ammo. I knew people that spent countless hours reloading ammo to save money because ammo was so expensive. No ammo ban ever happened either. So anyone who believes that Biden's going to take their guns because someone on OAN or an a GOP tv ad told them that needs to brush off ancient history all the way back to 2008. People really should be smart enough to not to fall for that, especially when the people they are listening to lied to them not very long ago.

It's a big part of the problem in our society. When claims are proven false, people don't give the people that made false claims less credibility. They also give everyone on the Internet equal credibility, from a crazy flat earther on a Youtube video spouting baseless theories to a MIT scientist. People today are like, this person lied to me yesterday and what they said was proven wrong, and they are making another questionable claim with no evidence today, but maybe today they'll be right... Whereas people that have critical thinking ability discard their claims after being proven wrong, especially people that have made claims that were debunked and proven completely false repeatedly.

There are plenty enough problems to worry about in the world without worrying about things that won't happen. And the government is going to take your guns (and defunding the police, or socialism, or sharia law, or whatever Hannity spun on the fear wheel today) falls into that category.

Considering protests have to be announced and declared just going somewhere else would be them breaking the law, so your idea of peaceful protests would mean some assholes starting riots and ending peaceful protests right then and there.

I mean, sure, it would help the police, or and that's how well probably every other civilized country does it that isn't constantly flirting with authoritarianism you have an actually trained police force that understands how protests and riots work.

Na, better have riots being handled by civilians, after all, they should be in the know compared to the police.

A- Liability and harm to HHA and possibility they won't come because of the Risk if guns are laying around.
B- He's on sever pain pills that interfere with his mental health and mental health meds.
C- He routinely has started to forget where everything (guns and accessories) is/are.
D- Stress of his health is a strain on his mental health and risk of suicide.
E- Refuses to secure them when people come over whom should not have that easy access to the ones he is not physically carrying.
F- Yes, anyone can steal them while he naps. I am sure i have nothing to worry about with the HHA but would you risk it?

As far as bootstrapping, we had about a couple dozen reasons to disarm him before this and we also have his approval to sell his guns for years now but we have not done it. If anything we are making any excuse to keep him with his guns, just the opposite of your claims.

We have daily and weekly discussions with him like an adult, but you see he is a huge child when it comes to most everything. He is the one that needs to start acting like an adult. You have no idea. Sometimes people need to look in the mirror before they think they are not the problem, but he hasn't yet.

Obama commented that one of his biggest disappointments of his presidency was his lack of being able to get more gun control done. So you can be sure Biden would take away certain types of firearms if he could. He has said so. It is Congress which has blocked such efforts and the fact our Constitution, in order to be amended, needs more than even Congress to get it done. It is a fight which needs to be constant in every state to avoid such from happening.

Gun control does not require a constitutional amendment. Was there a constitutional amendment when the assault rifle ban passed in the 90s? Did anyone take your guns during the 10 years it existed? Did anyone even try?

Edits: What other context does this work in? Does requiring more voter regulations, mean we need to amend the constitution or that they are going to ban voting? What other regulation on constitutional rights, means that it requires an amendment? If you can’t scream fire in a theater, are they coming to take our freedom of speech? Are all other constitutional rights, simply not backed by a multi billion dollar industry?

It's a defense against government tyranny, it is not a defense against a lawfully ordered civil society. Indeed, that is a thing it also exists to preserve.

The riot begins with the first thrown object, broken window, or lit fire. Period. No exceptions or rationalizations.

The AWB was never litigated under the 2nd Amendment, so it's a pretty specious argument you are making. It's useless nonsense expired before it really got into the appellate weeds.

Great, so are you going to turn yourself in because someone committed crime in your neighborhood?

And gassing people exercising their first amendment rights is not tyranny?

Do you mean the ones that enforce taking away guns from criminals and people with confirmed mental illnesses that make them unable to manage their affairs??

    or do you mean

Create an effective program to ensure individuals who become prohibited from possessing firearms relinquish their weapons. Federal law defines categories of individuals who are prohibited from purchasing or possessing firearms, and the federal background check system is an effective tool for ensuring prohibited persons cannot purchase firearms. But we lack any serious tool to ensure that when someone becomes newly prohibited – for example, because they commit a violent crime – they relinquish possession of their firearms.

    you don't support that???

Get weapons of war off our streets. The bans on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines that Biden, along with Senator Feinstein, secured in 1994 reduced the lethality of mass shootings. But, in order to secure the passage of the bans, they had to agree to a 10-year sunset provision and when the time came, the Bush Administration failed to extend them. As president, Biden will:

Ban the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Federal law prevents hunters from hunting migratory game birds with more than three shells in their shotgun. That means our federal law does more to protect ducks than children. It’s wrong. Joe Biden will enact legislation to once again ban assault weapons. This time, the bans will be designed based on lessons learned from the 1994 bans. For example, the ban on assault weapons will be designed to prevent manufacturers from circumventing the law by making minor changes that don’t limit the weapon’s lethality. While working to pass this legislation, Biden will also use his executive authority to ban the importation of assault weapons.
Regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act. Currently, the National Firearms Act requires individuals possessing machine-guns, silencers, and short-barreled rifles to undergo a background check and register those weapons with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Due to these requirements, such weapons are rarely used in crimes. As president, Biden will pursue legislation to regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.
Buy back the assault weapons and high-capacity magazines already in our communities. Biden will also institute a program to buy back weapons of war currently on our streets. This will give individuals who now possess assault weapons or high-capacity magazines two options: sell the weapons to the government, or register them under the National Firearms Act.
Reduce stockpiling of weapons. In order to reduce the stockpiling of firearms, Biden supports legislation restricting the number of firearms an individual may purchase per month to one.
since you want to ignore these competely while being on the website. so forcing people to either give up their "assault weapons" for well under what they paid or be made to pay more thats back door confiscation

End the online sale of firearms and ammunitions. Biden will enact legislation to prohibit all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts.
also this is absolute ridiculous seeing as if you're buying a firearm online it still has to be shipped to an ffl for a background check
Well then get your shit together.
Get it all together. And put it in a backpack. All your shit. So it’s together. And if you gotta take it somewhere, take it somewhere, you know, take it to the shit store and sell it, or put it in a shit museum, I don’t care what you do, you just gotta get it together.
    Get your shit together
