Isn't it time to disable the indirect gold making of Draenor garrisons?

It's been many years since that expansion and it's kinda lame being able to make gold with those subsystems. I believe the game should just shut down those systems in terms of gold making because after a point it becomes a chore to be able to go back to ancient expansions and make gold which gives benefits to the actual end-game of a current patch.

You are at least 2 years late. Any time used at your garrison making "gold" is a loss compared to actual gold making content.

I love all the people that say there's no gold to be made from garrisons, or that the amount of gold is negligible. Keep preaching that!

However, both the mop farm and wod garrison are a priority item on my alts as I'm leveling them. The income from both, especially when having an army of alts, is still freaking insane. Best part: I can do both while essentially afking - sitting on the phone for a meeting, or watching a movie with the GF, etc.

Not sure what Blizz can do about either without just removing them though and I think that would be way over the top.

Hmmm, maybe I should have gone with what the other side is saying and said: You can't make any gold with the garrison these days!

Neither garrison nor farm MAKE money, unless you're talking about selling materials directly to merchat. If you collect stuff here and bring it to auction, it is a net gold sink for economy because of deposit fees. No new money is created, you only get what other players farmed in other places by other means.

No, this is very important distinction. There is reason to disable old gold makers to reduce inflation and many of them were disabled - like gold reward missions. But there's no reason to disable any old gold redistribution source.

Feel free to think whatever, but that how it works in reality. Gold MAKING is routinely nerfed by Blizzard - i.e. raw gold drops from old raids. Gold TRADING is generally left alone - i.e. BoE transmogrification from same old raids.

And that is not what the thread is about nor is it what I was talking about. Who is actually discussing any of the points you are pushing? Certainly wasn't me. "Keep on keepin on" though, with your tangent that no one else is discussing.
