You said you were running around ganking people with 5 people. That sounds to me like one guy can't really fight back. If he turns off warmode that does nothing because you already ganked him.

PVP should only be for the sake of PVP. PVP progression should be completely separated from PVE. No crossover.

There's always been gear in PvP. How else are PvPers gonna get gear? By forcing them to do PvP? Ok, I wouldn't mind, but PvPers would.

Specific to war mode, you should get nothing from it besides honor/conquest.

But honor and conquest buy you gear, which helps your PvE progression.

Well, I died a few times in a dungeon (I was undergeared af) aaand got told to kms. Needless to say, I blocked them, and the rest of the group who told me I was garbage

So you death griped solo players away from where they stood into a group of 5 people and some how can't understand why anyone would think you are a crap person? Its not like those people were grouped up. Yeah they can turn of World PVP, but it makes their rewards less and for some classes soloing is far easier with some of the pvp talents especially in places like the maw. You could just not be a dick and try to 1v1 people for your quest credit, but that means you would have to actually try. This is the main reason why world pvp tied to skills and extra rewards is a stupid idea. Especially when you get quests that give you credit in a group.

But it wasn't just one guy, it was several people, at least as many as we were. But they all attacked solo, instead of as a group. They all hid in the sanctuary area, then sometimes one of them would charge us or take a step forward, we'd kill him, and then the next guy would do it etc.

They also could've easily opened a group in groupfinder to get more people together.

I mean this is an MMO and this is PvP. The game provides us with warmode, it provides us with cross server functionality, with groups, with a quest that requires us to kill 25 people and with abilities like death grip, stuns and slows.

They are not saying that your actions - the ganking - are against the rules regulating PvP. They are saying that you are an asshole.

You are discussing with people that consider your actions morally wrong, nobody here is saying that your actions are legally wrong.
Some people are saying that you shouldn't act this way, they are not saying that your actions are actionable.

We didn't start ganking solo people. I went to the Maw and invited people until the group was full. Then we looked for players. It's not our fault most players run around solo, how else are we supposed to do the quest? Sure we could not group up, but if you go solo as Alliance you will run into Horde players that will work together, so that's just nonsense. Playing since 2008 as Alliance on a server that is 99% Horde and I know they won't pass up on a chance to outnumber you.

What quest is this that you're getting, and where from? I've only gotten two PvP quests so far this expansion (aside from the WQs that have PvP options to complete), one required 1500 honor earned in random battlegrounds and the other required I earn 1500 honor in epic battlegrounds.

It's a quest ONLY available to the Alliance. There isn't even a Horde equivalent in the game. This is on top of the other PvP WQ, what's more Alliance get this on a weekly basis.
