The funny thing is that that act was treated as the result of N'Zoth's insidious corruption, when in reality it was a completely understandable action to take. Wrathion literally shattered the time-space continuum, by creating an alternate version of Draenor, which set in motion the chain of events that led to Varian's death.

Shadowlands brought us our first transgender character (confirmed by Blizzard as cannon lore) so why not next expansion bring us our first confirmed in-game (not through books like Shaw & the other guy) same-sex couple.

Taelia, the character was pretty much just introduced for that very purpose. Tess may be a backup, but if they wanted to use her they could have done so ages ago. Wrathion is just a literal kid dragon that the sicko shippers have turned into gay porn fantasies aimed at sexually frustrated middle aged women. Jaina is too old and he sees her as his aunt, unless Blizzard goes for the long-lived route for both of them to make them essentially a superman-wonderwoman like couple in a few decades/centuries.
