Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add

Probably because the guy behind her is starting at her ass.

Also thanks to @Edge- Biden's DoJ says Trump's taxes are now in Congress' hands. While it's five years too late, if there really is a security risk in there, it needs to be disclosed. The public has a right to know that almost a majority of them elected a Russian puppet, and therefore, he could be at least expelled from future elections.

Yeah, all kinds of wrong in that picture.
Got her playing the concerned step daughter while he has an expression on his face like he has already got it while another old man is staring at her ass.

Hope those taxes show all enough that not even the GOP can lie and defend it but we know they would anyways.

Shit's been the quality of intelligence for the Republican party since they were complaining about fears the government would socialize Medicare back in the ACA days (and before).

Republicans genuinely don't have the foggiest clue what socialism is outside of a buzzword that gets them all hot and bothered.

Honestly, it's another example of "Ask a socialist what they dislike about capitalism, and they'll give you a detailed list. Ask a capitalist what they dislike about socialism, and they'll describe capitalism to you."

UPDATE: There was a bill. It didn't get the votes.

    - - - Updated - - -

Abbott signed a bill that blocked people from giving undocumented migrants caught by the border patrol a ride. The DoJ just sued Texas to end it.

"Wait, I don't see how that works. Surely Texas has every right to stop people from helping criminals."

The order allows Texas police to "stop and frisk" cars, checking any car they deem to be suspicious. So the DoJ has a pretty solid case here, because "that brown guy looks suspicious, I'm going to pull them over" isn't what 21st century America is supposed to be.

"Is the illegal immigrant situation really escalating that badly?"

Maybe? That's not the point. Abbott's public excuse was "because COVID".

"Does Texas have a mask mandate?"

    No.

"Do Texas police have to get vaccinated?"

No they don't. Abbott made sure of that personally.

    "What about individual cities' police?"

    Abbott blocked that too.

"Do Texas police need to wear masks?"

I'll be honest, I couldn't find that one.

"So in theory, Abbott is claiming that illegal immigrants carry COVID, and is sending a bunch of unvaccinated, unmasked police to shove their faces in crowded cars?"

Yeah, that's the size of it.

Anyhow, the DoJ isn't suing on the grounds of "this will kill cops". They're suing on the grounds of violation of the Supremacy Clause. In the United States, you can't just stop a car because you suspect someone inside is a criminal because of the color of their skin. Texas can't overrule that. Seriously, 35% or so of Texas is Hispanic, leaving out any legal temporary visitors. Does Abbott really have the manpower to pull over one out of every three cars on the road?

How is it a joke? It funds a significant amount of actual infrastructure.

It's nowhere near what is needed to bring our infrastructure up to where it needs to be, It's a bunch of "moderate" senators circle jerking each other over a drop in the bucket. We have the worse infrastructure in the modern world bordering third world country because of its age and lack of maintenance, that's not going into what we need to build.

That does not make it worthless, just below what you want. I guess you would prefer no spending on infrastructure instead.

Such a stupid thing to say. No, I'm sure he wants spending on infrastructure, seeing as the fact that there hasn't been enough spending on infrastructure is the heart of the issue.

Why should anyone assume that worthless politicians who will settle on not taking the proper steps to address an issue will somehow magically take those proper steps at some unknown point in the future...when they aren't willing to do it now. Would you trust a doctor that's only going to give you painkillers to numb the pain of a broken arm instead of actually attempting to repair the damage? If not, why do politicians get a pass for doing the same shit?

Because there isnt an agreement on what those proper steps are.

Most of what Biden has called for has nothing to do with infrastructure. The compromise bill funds a significant portion of actual infrastructure.

When did I say Biden's bill was also good enough? both bills are freaking disasters. How about this we gave 2 trillion dollars to the richest people and corporations in the world but we can't come close to that for infrastructure which everyone needs.

The US spends about $450 billion a year on government funded infrastructure already.

Keeping a country running isn't cheap, yo, especially a country as large as the US. Which I'm sure you know.

I am well aware of the costs, just pointing out that the US is spending a good amount on it already. Structurally deficient bridge numbers have dropped by about 20% since 2007 without a massive influx of funds.

Also, to further put it in perspective to without me directly responding to the pigeon, we spend over 700 billion on our military.

    Nice insult.

Yes, I am aware the military is underfunded compared to its demands as well.

To which we'd all respond that infrastructure is underfunded compared to demands, especially if we don't take the extremely narrow definition of infrastructure as "roads and bridges".
