I read about that Scouts & Hearts article and loved the information it provided. I had initially thought when i was watching youtube videos of devs explaining the starting zones that the Scout system was a place to go for events or that events happen around that place. But after reading this article the Heart is totally seperate from the event system but some events can contribute to filling the heart if the person the heart applies to is effected by that event.

I also learned that the activities that make up the Scout and Heart system are more of the fetch quest variety rather than the kill something variety. Like most the videos you see the player go to a farm and bandits are attacking but their are other activities there when the farm isnt under attack like, Feeding cows, Watering crops, or keeping wildlife away from the crops.

I really cant wait to play this

Yeah, it just adds another layer to an already complex game.

I was already thinking of checking this game out when it released (played GW1 and liked it), but this thread has seriously psyched me up for GW2 to the extent that i'm considering quitting WoW for it on release.
