Pot passed in just about every state... minimum wage passed in some... The issue isn’t socialism, but because of politicians like Trump. As I have been saying this whole thread. Liberals or leftist can take the same socialist policy, call it populism, and people will buy it. The issue is that populism, as absurd as it sounds, has been over taken by a billionaire oligarch and his corporate cronies.

Funny how it doesn't matter if the Dems win, lose, or keep it close, the narrative is always how they're out of touch with voters. Dems are always expected to explain why they didn't get x,y,z demographic, but Republicans are never punished or need to explain why they lost those votes.

The whole discussion is absurd because without the electoral college we aren't even having this conversation, and these sorts of takes are impossible to have.

I'm going to tell you my opinion, which you won't like. (Because from your post history you come across as one of those types who would love to hold a BLM / rainbow LGBTQ flag as long as it means you can keep economically exploiting the poor and the masses).

The reason people vote Trump mainly is because they don't like the (exaggerated) social justice stuff that the status quo / centrists / Democrats keep putting their support behind.
The reason people vote the Democratic Party is because they like the left(ist) economic ideas and policies they sometimes put forward (but sadly rarely follow through on), also because this is against the status quo / centrist position.

It's not about left / right as much as it's about social and economic policy, most voters dislike the social justice stuff, but love the economic justice stuff.

Allowing Republicans to control the political narrative and allowing Democrats to retreat into their center-right hidey-holes when the going gets rough is what is causing them to be destroyed in elections. Democrats skitter like roaches under sunlight the moment the political wind shifts. Their flaws stem from their refusal to hold any left-wing position that is not currently convenient and they dive for the safety of "moderates" and "centrists" the second they get scared.

Democrats who actually hold left wing values can get elected. Democrats who hold left wing values long enough to curry votes only to abandon them when things get tough get destroyed.

Because almost all of the 500k votes left are from Philly or other cities. Mail in votes, from democratic cities. The average of said two is 70/30 Biden.

According to everyone, he needs around 60% of the vote left to win. He's been averaging around 75%. That would only work if there were around 500k votes, as everyone said it would be.
