    Nathanos lives on in Shadowlands

In the story trailer released today you can see footage showing Nathanos in a battle with presumably Tyrande. He is smashed against a wall and pinned down on it with a silver arrow. The camera then shows Tyrande.

So our fight against him in pre-patch was maybe part of the plan so he would get killed and able to join Sylvanas in Shadowlands? Anyway he gets smashed around and Tyrande gets her revenge it seems.

That was already pretty obvious he will live in SL, given hat his pre-patch fight ends @ 10%, and he appeared in Nanthria data mining.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

My understanding is that the fight with Tyrande happens when he hits 10% in the pre patch fight. The Castle Nathria datamining is just speculation.

Danuser loves to troll fanbase with his pet, so of course Nathanos survives.

At this point I think the Jailer is empowering Nathanos too, quite a lot I might add. As mentioned in Ardenweald by the soul of an alien Night Warrior, the powers coursing through Tyrande's veins could damage a fully-released Old God. There's no way she can't just vaporize Nathanos with a blink of her eye... unless he is also being empowered by a cosmic deity.
The Void. A force of infinite hunger. Its whispers have broken the will of dragons... and lured even the titans' own children into madness. Sages and scholars fear the Void. But we understand a truth they do not. That the Void is a power to be harnessed... to be bent by a will strong enough to command it. The Void has shaped us... changed us. But you will become its master. Wield the shadows as a weapon to save our world... and defend the Alliance!

In terms of power, he is pretty much a punching bag for Tyrande but i do think that the anger of Tyrande will lead to problems for both herself and others.
Anyways, if Nathanos survives for a time in the Shadowlands, i think he will die somehow for Sylvanas, not sure tho.
Not gonna lie i am excited where this story goes.

who's the WoD Garrosh of this expansion, Sylvanas or Nathanos? (dying previous the 2nd patch, not even a raid/dungeon boss)

My assumption was that he'd pull a Team Rocket during the pre-patch, and then he'd get Gul'dan'd by Tyrande in the first raid.

That fight is clearly happening at Marris Stead. I believe 100% it's the cinematic that plays in Plaguelands after you kill Nathanos. Nothing suggests this is in SLs.

The first Nathanos clip looks like the end of the Marris Stead fight with the trees and the colour of the Skybox in the background, the second clip is a bit strange but I think it's taking place in Revendreth. Note though that it's not Tyrande who's firing arrows as she has that glaive thing now.

I mean if you die you go to the Shadowlands. We kill him, then go to the Shadowlands, and he is there. I expected they would do it like that. They wouldn't just throw him away as a temporary pre expansion world boss.

Seeing him get absolutely clowned on while getting too big for his britches once was great. If we get to do it twice and the second time is his soul's permadeath? All the better.

It was datamined that it's Tyrande who kills him so, and that there will be a cinematic to show it. What we see is a short glimpse of that, the wall which he is pinned against is part of his home; The Marris Stead. You can see it's a wooden wall with cobwebs, just like any standard forsaken pre-cataclysm building.

Wait, really? I had no idea he appeared in Nanthria data-mining. Dammit...

Well, if he dies, he's going to the Shadowlands. So of course he'll be there after we + Tyrande kill him.
That's because he's dead though, not because he lives on ^^

Really hope Tyrande can somehow just obliterate his soul permanently. Or at least keep him imprisoned and tortured, forever denied the ability to rejoin his kween.

I still put even money on him using feign death like he did in classic to escape Tyrande and shows up in SL later.
