Are Human rogues really so superior?

I play rogue class for a couple of years - I've had human rogue once, then rerolled horde with my friends and leveled undead rogue up to lvl 70. I started doing 2x2 arenas now (wouldn't say my gear is very good, but, nevertheless, we play not so bad :P).

But when I logged on my human rogue and tried 2x2, I was nearly amazed - it was MUCH easier. For example when fighting war+resto druid, I can spot the druid using perception, and beat the crap out of him while the warrior is getting controlled. Considering the number of x+resto druid 2x2 teams now, this helps a lot. Also, I nearly always sap enemy rogues before they even spot me.
Undead's WotF is OK, but not that awesome.

I was thinking of "rererolling" human again, but his gear is worse, he has only 100 gold on him and no epic flyer, reputation levels are not so high with certain factions, etc, etc.

How do you think, does it really matter so much whether you play UD or human? And, in the end, are arena fights overall easier when playing human rogue? And so should I stay undead or play my human again? Thanks in advance.

    Yes.

If you really want to max out your rating go human.

The passive racial is very sexy in any way and perception is a HUGE advantage if you think of all those druid/rogue combos out there.
Often getting the sap means getting the points.

The tank is the driver, healer is the fuel. And the DPS are the kids sitting in the back crying about if they're there yet.

    yes they are...

wotf is usefull approximately only against lock+priest

perception, is just win againt stealth that don't have perception, maybe 30% of your fights ?

and just as a reminder, +expertise on swords and maces... is great, really !

i have a 200 days NE rogue full S4 but weapons & soulders (S3), and i'll tell you what, the day a "race-changer" will be invented by some crazy goblins for 20000 golds and 2 years CD, i'll transform it into a human immediately...

my 4 years old race choice as heavy conesquences now in arena and i just regret it so much... but can't reroll... 200 days...

You are aware that he plays the same class in either way aren’t you?

Humans racial > ANY other racials ...thats what this thread is about.
And keep in mind you also get that sexy +10% rep-bonus

im playing a human rogue atm, but i'm really missing the wotf of my undead rogue :'(

Re: Are Human rogues really so superior?

I don't have any experience in arena at this point, which is why i didn't vote (btw, sucks for you that the poll is a dead even 50/50 atm :P) but perception gave me the advantage, and the win on several occasions vs other rogues in bgs and a few random encounters.
I did like it alot for that reason, getting the sap on the enemy rogue before he got me was definitely a winner, but i shelved my rogue at 45 after regretting not rolling NE so much. I just felt that the passive bonus improving stealth, and being more difficult to detect by everyone and everything (including the other stealthers) would be so much more helpful than detecting other stealthed units easier. I really wish i could change that without spending hoooooours lvling again. Maybe someday someone might convince me human really is the better choice as well.

Till then, I'm not sure if my rogue will go any further in his quest to accomplish world peace or w/e WoW is about now. I forget...

Sorry my first post couldn't be more helpful :P

Re: Are Human rogues really so superior?

Renkipz, I have a friend playing NE rogue - he got s3 weapons, s3-s4 gear, and when I allowed him to play my human crappy-geared (yeah, really, the only epic he had is s1 dagger bought using arena points) rogue - he was so astonished, so glad, that he abandoned his well-geared NE for my human just because of racials. Seems that it's time to get my human back

Mezz, thanks for your answers as well - I think the same way, WotF was superior when warlocks were in a top shape (1-2 seasons), but now... druids, rogues, druids, rogues...

Thanks for your answers Skalu too

Xakosch, I wouldn't be surprised if the next pvp trinket blizz will announce will have 1.30 sec cooldown to remove fears, stuns, etc. But they will NEVER announce trinkets with human racials...

With the amount of stealthers in arenas and how broken Fear-spells are nowadays, I'd say rogues should roll human for arena.

And btw blizz are nerfing wotf even more through shadow priest talents - their psychic scream will be considered as a "horror" effect...

Psychic Horror applies a 4 second Horror effect in addition to Psychic Scream, which is a Fear effect. WotF still removes Psychic Scream, which lasts longer than Psychic Horror.

Fear often breaks by itself after 4 seconds because of damage

    icuwutudidthar.

He misunderstood what he meant for the second part.

The human racial skill Perception is > rest.

If you want said skill, stay Human.

Were you hoping for a larger margin?

I ended up voting for human, but i think you should stick with your friends and/or whichever server you prefer rather than going to the effort of gearing your human for the sole purpose of perception.
