    3.2 Talent ideas

    OK so we all know that 3.1 is JUST around the corner, and that if specc'd Ret we have about 12 leftover points, with no where to put them. It would be nice to have somewhere for them to go to increase DPS, but we most likely won't see anything until the next major patch.

    So, anyone have any cool or unique ideas for new talents (in any of the three trees) that we could use our talent points in? Keep in mind:
    1.) Keep it Realistic
    2.) Has potential to be useful to all speccs
    3.) Ideas that avoid class homogenization (i.e. don't Copy another class's talents).

    Just some ideas. I would rather see an Armor Value -> SP rather than an Armor Value -> AP talent so it is viable for Holy Paladins as well (since they, alongside Ret, would be the only ones to wear cloth/leather/mail). Having talents to give reason to jump into the other trees is a nice treat as well.
    Also, something to grant increased Critical strike damage as well.... since we seem to be lacking this talent, which most other DPS specs have.

    Actually we had a talent for that, but it was redesigned (nerfed) because it was "OP"...

    Well I figured since Judgement now hits like a dead horse, we would maybe see something in that regard.

    Holy really needs a talent for Sacred Shield, IMO. Maybe more pve focused, since it may be OP already for pvp.
    Not that Sacred Shield needs a buff, but it's a nice skill and a talent for it would be good.

    There is one in the Prot tree for 17 total points, but Holy really doesn't have the power for that.

    seals of the pure - this talent now affects all seals and judgements.

    improved hammer of wrath - 46 points talent, increases the range of useage of this spell from 20% to 25/30%

    swift retribution - also reduces the paladins GCD by 10% of total haste.

    divine storm change (buff) - hiting 1 target with divine storm causes 200% seal damage 175% for 2, 150% for 3 and 125% for 3 targets

    two handed weapon specialisation (buff) - increased damage done by all 2H + the seal effect when hiting with auto attack by 2/4/6/8/10%

    reightous vengeance - this dot now causes 200% of ur ap + 200% of ur SP over 8 seconds every time and is not affected by wich

    ability u use.

    crusade - increases total damage cuased by 1/2/3/4/5% and 0% bonus vs undead demons. in adition consecration is now capable of 5/10/15/20/25% critical damage

    Really only got one thing that crosses my mind at the moment:

    - Swift Retribution should get an effect like Improved Moonkin Form does. (Int/Agi/Spi to AP doesn't work as "alternative" Ret Paladin gear does not contain these stats. Stamina would be dull. Possible solution to increase total haste by 2/4/6%.)

    Other than that a second effect to Improved Blessing of Might and Improved Blessing of Wisdom would be favourable. Possible solutions would be to increases attack power by 2/4% and healing by 2/4%.

    Paladins should get nerfed not buffed... except holy pally i consider them needing an Aoe healing effect that would be proper and not overpowered to use on raids and slightly on pvp.

    I guess your talking about pve, i agree, healing as a paladin is about as fun as whak a mole in PvE.. but dont complain about ret paladins just becuase you might have got 2 shotted in a duel you was wearing PvE gear in.

    Look at the top rated 2v2 teams then tell me holy paladins are not OP.

    Also look for the ret paladins.. oh wait, there isnt any.

    On topic: a talent too increase the range of crusader strike too match that of judgement mabie?

    -Crusader Strike: Restores mana equal to X% of the damage done to the target. And the next offensive spell cast by the target has its damage reduced by 30%.

    -Judgement of the wise mana regen nerfed to not make up for OP mana regen, but atleast our total mana regen isnt dependant on 1 ability

    -Swift Retribution: In addition to its current effect, it makes your sacred shield absorb slow and snare effects. (Only works with sacred shields cast by you and on yourself, and the sacred shield debuff is removed when it absorbs a slow or snare)

    -New Talent: Seraphic Empowerment:
    Enables the paladin to weild a 2h and a shield together, but reduces haste by 5%. (equip a holy shield for better ofhealing, a tanking shield for some offtanking a DPS shield for extra damage even trough Rightgeouss Shield ability)

    -Seal of command made baseline, Repentance swapped place with old SoC position
    NEW TALENT: Focussed Vengeance
    Redirects the next harmfull spell cast at the paladin within 6 sec back to the caster, 30sec CD and requires and removes upon use all Vengeance buffs active on the paladin. (the vengeance buff that increases physical and holy damage)
    WoW characters that need/deserve to get killed/punished/otherwise removed from the story: Tirion(dead now), Thrall, Malfurion, Sylvanas(soon?), Jaina, Tyrande

    why dont we wait untill 3.1 is on live server, running smoothly and /pray that pvp is actually fair before we start making up 3.2 ideas.

    I think we are going to have to accept that our talent trees are what they are in 3.1 right now.

    Blizzard has not posted any changes in regards to paladins talents and spells in quite a few builds on the PTR.

    The same glaring issues with ret are still present, but now with slightly less burst.
