    3.2.2 Patchnotes: Predatory Strikes change!

Predatory Strikes: This talent now also causes the druid’s finishing moves to provide a 7/13/20% chance per combo point to make the next Nature spell with a cast time below 10 seconds instant cast

Can you say, awesome?? and this coming from someone who doesnt even PVP that much seems like a really nice treat from where I'm standing!

I think, as they said in the Q&A, that they want ferals to shift into caster mode to cast something. Looks like this is the way they tried to.

Even in PVE I can imagine some good uses - but still, to me as a 99% PVE player, this change might make me PVP/BG some more

Wowwiki does not categorize Cyclone as a nature spell.

Starfire is an arcane spell, not nature.

    starfire is arcane, so no
i would guess its meant for healing spells HT or regrowth
    Vote Pengu for president!
"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons."

wrath = yes. Starfire - no, cyclone - no

What about Rebirth? Don't know if you would really want an instant rebirth when DPS:ing but it wouldn't hurt to be able to do it.

Re: 3.2.2 Patchnotes: Predatory Strikes change!

Well, could help a bear tank to cast rebirth without spending so much time as before. I guess.

Right right, didn't think about finishing movies and combo points.

Was just trying to help! </3

    Why not Cyclone?
    http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=33786
Listed as a nature spell there...

Anyways, pretty neat. I don't play a druid anymore, but I'm all for seeing more pvp love handed out to new specs

Also those boomkin changes should be helpful.

ok so...i'm gonna go a bit offtopic now and ask everybody how much is their healing touch healing for ? (since that's most probably what we'll all cast the most)

Re: 3.2.2 Patchnotes: Predatory Strikes change!

This is a completely useless change across the board. Feral druids are not casters, so they do not have the specialization that comes with being one. First of all you have to pop out of cat form to use a 'nature' spell, and secondly, any nature spell that you cast is going to be retardedly weak.

I realize that 'retardedly' isn't a real word, but some times it is necessary to create new words to describe how terrible something is.

Before anyone flames me for saying this, lemme tell you why I feel this way. As a paladin, you get spell power from AP. While you have a limited mana pool, when you do use it for casting, your spells are cheap yet effective. 12k holy light crits as ret anyone? As a feral druid your spells are not only slow and mana intensive they are also just plain bad to use as they have really little effect on the game.

Is situations where you have to brez someone, you have plenty of mana to do so, and the instant cast time isn't going to make you use brez in situations where you otherwise wouldn't. In fact, this change will not make you use any spells in situations where you otherwise wouldn't.

What this talent should do, is either refund energy (since after a finishing move druids are often low) or add new combo points, modeling similar talents of rogues. I really don't understand this change as it doesn't really 'benefit' anyone. It just serves to give players a 'WTF' reaction when it procs and they have no use for it.

@ Eroginous: you're completely forgetting that this change makes Nurturing Instincts a much better talent; it gives us 70% of our agility as +healing, which greatly improves HT's overall healing, or how about: regrowth, which heals more due to 70% agi=+healing, as well as a 20% flat bonus for HoT ticks, because you receive 20% more healing whilst in catform

additionally, instant roots/instant hibernate is also a valuable option.

10k HT crits arent very uncommon either, with high agility and nurturing instincts
