Aren't these just wow models slightly edited? Or sometimes different models patched together?

I still prefer Vaane'ls versions, both for face, outfits and especially hair, but hey, this is a step in the right direction. But aren't the new markings a bit off for Azshara? And now she's blue, even farther from a "rich, deep purple", and the gold in her jewels is duller. But still - better, Blizz. Now hire Vaanel, and work together with him, and together, you'll reach WoW design perfection.

    Edit: typo.
If they listened they wouldn't of made her uglier. >< The one on the right is better looking, the left one I wouldn't mind killing at all..

Here is a quick Photoshop I did of Azshara which I think fits her best: simple and elegant.

I like this so much more, the dress you have looks alot better than the Blizzard one, for some reason the Blizzard corset doesn't quite look right, makes her look to bulky in the shoulder area and waaaaaay to pinched in the waist (makes her look like her ribs have been removed)

Your dress making it fully attached, just gives a better shape to her and streamlines her body. Me likey!

    Azshara is anything but simple.

That dress is too simple and makes her look fat.

I think the person you quoted may have meant, style wise, no fuss, no frills no gaudy bling everywhere, stylish yet simple and elegant, and I would agree, in everything I have read about her, she didn't ever come across as being overly gaudy like the other Highborne, she wore simple sheathes that were transparent as to show her body off. Mostly in coulours that matched her silvery hair with splashes of stars and such.

So I would say yes, simple and elegant.

    Her personality sure isn't simple.

    .... lol.

    10chars

Oh and also that photo shopped model looks great.

Blizzard listened to our concerns about Azshara's model not fitting with their lore. Her face still looks kind of dull, and her features less than regal. Because of that, I still think Vaanel's versions all look better. For that purpose, I think the expression, hair colour and features of his Highborne Outfit 3 model (on the couch), with the eye colour from the latest Blizz version, and some in-between gown that's still adorned and accessorized with a lot of jewlery (or perhaps that white robe that shares your mesh from the blood elf queen, Vaanel, though perhaps with a bit more skin revealed), would be the best way to truly display the ancient Queen of the kaldorei.

Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it, but right now I find Azshara's newest model less regal than the one before it. Somehow she looks more like a random_blood_elf_woman with the color changes and the new make up.

You have the right to share your honest opinion. Much appreciated.
I have read some really useful stuff and since I am making multiple outfits, I have a great idea to improve on her appearance. Making her more 'Night Elven' but still a Queen. Hopefully more people will like this one. Although I still hold my stand with this golden outfit. I agree that it does not represent the Night Elven theme, but then again I think Azshara and the highbornes developed their own clothing style. It is definitely different from regular night elves as the item 'Azsharas Gawn' states the highbornes had an awful taste And I like to think gold as superior to silver and also what someone in this topic said before that Azshara and her highbornes
didnt want to be related to the Elune (and her more silver theme).

For those who havent seen: My previous Azshara without the 'crazy hat' and still Blood Elven base model, on a couch (Imagining her waiting for Sargeras)

This is hands down amazing.. I really like the look of her. She looks "beautiful", royal and deadly..
    Very well done

Well, for looking pinched in the waist with a corset some women actually do get their lower ribs removed >.<

What I would like very much is for it to look like in that other fanart-pic. It already has the skirt and the "bra" from there, but not the middle part.

Edit: I like the model without the facial marks and with the violet gems, that's nice. Just different hair and eyes than the former model and different gems.

    .
Which Is why I said it I don't think Night Elves would remove ribs just to get a pinched in waist, at least I hope not.. ;/

But either way, the corset looks unatural, has more of an undead vibe going on,

I'm not sure, From what I read in WotA I got the impression that the Highborne were doing anything they thought might make them better looking by their weird standards

    The first is fine.

The second is too distracting, too gaudy, and the colors don't match. I'm sorry but that's terrible.

    I must agree with that.

The first one is pretty good, more subtle changes tweaking their design. I like it, well done. I have to agree with some of the others, the second one is gaudy. It is just way too much for me. Don't get me wrong, the model is very well done and I see a lot of skill and talent put into it, but it just doesn't fit for her. Very nicely made.

Looks nice, but you little overused those metal accents. Try use it both - cloth dress and gold crown and jewelry.

She is portrayed with "silver hair and gold eyes" in lore.
Lore-freaks complained and went nuts about not having those features, how she "lacks continuity, makes no sense, blizz doesnt follow their own lore" etc all silly things just for the hair-color. They listened and portray like she is meant to be portrayed "by the lore". Yet, tyranda is still under fire for having "green" hair instead of "blue" (which imo is still due to the possible color atmo in WOTA..you know zang is actually puke green without atmo lighting but with blue atmo it makes it like it is? yep.)
