My computer is actually way below the minimal requirements, so graphics is rather lacking - everything is on minimal, in order to run at all. So I am not going to subscribe right away, as I need to save money to build a decent computer first, so I could enjoy the game in full splendor.
I got two concerns though, and the trial does nothing to alleviate them (perhaps even on the contrary). First, planets feel somewhat limited, everything is too close to everything else and there is no incentive to come back after you're done with a planet. Yes, it is very true to the KOTOR concept, but I can't help but think it is not a very MMO-friendly approach to zone-building. Second, there doesn't seem to be much socializing going on in the low-level zones. Everyone's sitting in the fleet, apparently, and nobody bothers coming back to Tython or Dromund Kaas, if only to have a chat with lowbie newcomers. I find it hard to believe there isn't an ongoing Sith acolyte / Jedi padawan roleplay going on in starter zones, with those huge empty buildings just waiting to be employed. Does it get any different later on?
But yes, I can safely say free trial works for me, and I do intend to buy the game eventually, at least to play through the character storylines if nothing else.
