On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.
Mitt Romney a Republican wants to implement a temporary UBI until the crisis is over. Joe Biden a Democrat doesn't believe in a Medicare for All right now. Is this opposite day? Am I in a different dimension where Democrats lean right while Republicans lean left?
One lone Republican, who has bucked the rest of his party periodically, says a thing.
One Democrat running for president is still saying the same thing he's been saying since last year, and from a practical standpoint of "right now" is 100% correct.
I don't know what dimension you're in either, but it looks like one with bad hot-takes.
Mitt Romney seems to be the only Republican who has a brain of his own. Joe Biden has no brain as he forgot he wanted to freeze medicare, medicaid, and social security. Mitt Romney doesn't exactly fall in line with his party, but that's a good thing. Joe Biden is doing what his party wants, including no M4A. I don't care if M4A isn't possible, but Joe Biden should at least fight for it. Mitt Romney's temporary UBI is certainly not going to happen but at least he's somewhat trying.
This sure looks like they're just counting up whether a released drug included any references to publicly funded research. That's a pretty wild standard for claiming that something should just be public domain, about on par with thinking that all computers are public domain since the initial development required government funding.

Coronavirus UBI talks...
Andrew Yang has entered the chat.
This is from the twitter so dunno how true it is or not but its interesting
I mean, why a temporary UBI?
The entire point is that a permanent UBI creates a level baseline that mitigates the negative impacts of crisis events such as this, by empowering citizens to make better-informed choices and relying on that government support, rather than being forced by effective duress into making choices that are harmful to society (like continuing to work during a pandemic, because the alternative is personal financial collapse and homelessness).
If you admit it makes sense here, then it always makes sense. The whole point is that this is no longer a discussion we need to keep having, once it's implemented. We can focus on real problems, because a lot of these will have been solved.
Very curious to see how much lower turnout is today for these primaries (which btw, should absolutely have been delayed) and more importantly, how many people are going to contract corona by going into such a crowded area. Most voters tend to be older (and honestly, im willing to bet younger voters are more likely to stay home during a pandemic) so this kind of thing is actually dangerous. I don't know how absentee ballots work in these states but i really hope everyone who could is mailing in their vote rather than going in person.
i do hope a UBI plan gets implemented. this is exactly what's needed right now.
then it can be shown how successful it was once it ends, and then i can sit on my happy ass and game forever.

does it actually hurt the dems though? cause most old people vote republican.
i guess you gotta consider that maybe conservative young people vote more than liberal young people, and that could cause issues. though the amount of conservative young likely doesn't even add up to the tiny amount of liberal young that vote.
I totally agree but if we can't agree on M4A then UBI seems like a fairy tale among Democrats and Republicans. I would be scared if they agreed with a UBI, because that means these politicians see what I see which is that capitalism is about to implode. I wonder why Bill Gates stepped down from Microsoft?

I'm sure it has to do with socialism for the rich.
The fact that Florida's polls are still opens shows how incompetent the Republican party are on R. Wouldn't be surprised if they did this on Purpose for Lower Voter Turnout.

What is that article even. The DNC doesn't handle polling stations, state Democratic parties do. If they're unprepared, that's on them. The only time it would fall back on the DNC, who can't tell the state parties what to do, is if the state party requested support and was stonewalled.
I mean, Perez is damned if he does anything, damned if he doesn't do something.
Calls for a recount in Iowa so that no campaign would need to be the ones to ask? Accused of putting his thumb on the scale!
Staying out of it in IL and letting the state party handle things? Why isn't he getting involved?!
