Also, I'm hoping they do something about that wurm queen. The only non-champion, who has the highest respawn by a very large margin, and only does the shockwave attack you're supposed to dodge once per battle. Whee. Yeah, that's not tedious.

When I did it for the shockwave jump achieve, I got credit for four in one fight. So it's not necessarily just one. My complaint is the alchemist is bugged up and needs to be fixed. Beyond that, I'm overall pleased with how it's ending. Farm the champs for events, little bonus whatsit achieves, get some keys, at least the chest is now giving some half-decent loot in return and you don't have to run the Tower of Failmares over and over to get to it. Yeah, the meta award is kinda blah, but did we really need another one-time helmet skin? A title might've been nice, but again, not necessary.

As for the Wintersday stuff, LA looks gorgeous all decorated up. Haven't done the group-required stuff related to it or the JP, doubt I will, but following the dolyaks while they poop gifts and booting skritt around was amusing for the related achieves.

So, will these new ascended backpieces be account bound or soulbound? I only got one dwayna recipe, but would want one on my thief and possibly warrior.

Also, do I need 500 in armorsmith, leatherworker and tailor to make them?

I know you're a completionist, but do keep in mind the "reward" for the meta isn't really anything special...

I opened 1750 gifts and got 1 dwayna and 2 grenth backpiece recipes :l

Now to horde them and hope in half a year I make a profit.

Rox, Braham, and now Marjory are all connected. I also think Kasmeer is going to be the next Snaff. She did get pricked by a thorn in the tower and we all know the cliche that is going to turn into.

Now, we just need the asura and sylvari. Both male (it seems it is doing opposite genders too). I think the asura that was at queens jubilee and helped us get into her lair will make another appearance. As for the sylvari, I think that one guy. The one from the lost shores event, will join since scarlet was the main cause of the refuges.

Yep, it was nice to see that coming together finally. Though the quaggan love-blather nearby made me hanker for some dolphin-UNSAFE tuna. Also Kasmeer going about naked, her dress being an illusion. Cute. And the quip about the Molting Alliance.

Dat jumping puzzle! I love their holiday updates. I find them vastly more enjoyable than the living story has been, which is odd. It's also nice to have a game I feel comfortable only playing during special events... Love coming back for them. But dang, that bell game is not intuitive. If I could plug up my guitar hero guitar to play it I would destroy that game, but using clunky keyboard/mousekeys to do something so precise isn't really fun. Oh well, going to struggle through it for hours because...achievements right? yep.

So, I have to say the ending of the Nightmare stuff was much more tolerable than the rest of it. More of a mystery feel to it, plus as was pointed out, they're definitely setting up the next NPC hero group with Rox and Braham meeting Marjory and Kasmeer. Now to hope ANet can deliver on bringing this chapter of the LS to a definitive end and moving into the next one.

I've said since the Consortium was first introduced that they are a bonafied evil organization. So they never want anything good.

I will be super duper happy if we get a lot more of Rox and Braham I adore both of them. But idk how I feel about that idea regarding Scarlet though :/ I sort of really just want to end her

The Consortium seem a metaphor for blind corporate greed. A profit at any cost. So it isn't surprising they'd want to milk an opportunity.

As for Scarlet, I'm personally hoping she goes out in a blaze of glory awakening one of the other Elder Dragons or making it possible for it to step up and take center stage.

Well I got my 500 tailoring yesterday. I kind of want that Dwayna piece.. should probably give up on Ascended armor set.

Wintersday... so much better than Halloween. Not only is everything back (that I remember anyway :P), but ToyPoc and Infinirarium are a lot better this time around, the JP* is better, the bells are still fun, the dolyak escorts are nifty (though I worry what will happen when people quit donating for the achievement), the rewards of plentiful giant gifts are great (I thought getting them was going to be a pain), etc.

The only thing I haven't done yet is Snowball Mayhem.

* Not having the "waiting room" is fantastic. Why didn't they do that with Mad King's Tower? >_<
