Cataclysm Beta - Build 12759

Update 09:40PM PST - Added Nemesis.
Update 09:15PM PST - The new 310% Speed Flying Mount skill costs 5000 gold to train. People who already own a 310% flying mount get it for free.
Update 08:15PM PST - Masteries and Armor Specializations are available for testing. (Cataclysm Masteries List, Armor Specialization List)
Update 08:05PM PST - The Mounts & Companion Pets are now in the spellbook with a brand new interface.
Update 08:05PM PST - The UI for Paladin's Holy Power is here.
Update 07:40PM PST - Added Guild vendor rewards.
Update 07:25PM PST - Added Tol Barad Reputation Rewards.
Update 07:10PM PST - Relics slots have stats now and are just named Relic now it seems. (Totems, Sigils, Librams, etc)
Update 07:00PM PST - Tol Barad, the new PvP/Daily Quest zone is open for testing, and people keep trying to hurt me. More on that later.


Cataclysm Beta - Build 12759
A new build is being deployed on beta realms, just like any beta build, it will be painful, a lot of stuff will break, and I have no idea if I'll be able to give you all the content on the first day.

On the upside, Thrall is getting a new model. Stay tuned for changes!


Nemesis in Hyjal looks really nice too.


Guild Vendor Rewards
The Guild Vendor is here, a lot of items are placeholders but it should give you a pretty good idea of what it will offer.

Loading screens for each continent have been updated.




Spellbook - Mounts and Companion Pets
The Mounts & Companion Pets are now in the spellbook with a brand new interface.



Tol Barad
Tol Barad is open for testing, this is a new outdoor/PvP zone with a daily quest area for the faction controlling it. More on that later.





310% Speed Flying Mount
The new 310% Speed Flying Mount skill costs 5000 gold to train. People who already own a 310% flying mount get it for free.



Relic Slots Items
All classes items in the relic slot now have stats.



Masteries and Armor Specialization
Masteries and Armor Specializations are now available for testing.



Holy Power
The interface for the new Holy Power resource is here.



Video Settings
The Video Settings menu has been expanded, looks like we'll be able to tweak more things in Cataclysm.



Creature Damage Output Changes

    seriosly, when I first looked at the new Thrall model I was like: da fuk iz dis!
    then... I had to take another look at it and well it didnt realy looked bad at all
    after a few more seconds I can say that I rly love it . and why is that? becouse he realy looks like a real shaman now, as awesome as the wc3 shamans looked like. well maby not as awesome as them but still its a nice step forward to real shamanistic armors imo

    Yeah, I'd do like 1k or 2k probably, but 5k for such a minimal change is just crazy. I'm not one of those people who play the AH or grinds dailies. I raid, a lot. I don't think that it would be worth it at all.

    A lot of epicness flying our way. Thrall's model is awesome and those loading screens blew my mind. Bolvar looks like he's either regretting what he did or like a crazy psycho who's about to go berserk. And on top of that, we have this Garrosh artwork that is absolutely amazing. I wish his ingame model was half that badass.

    Oh, and paladin Holy Power bar looks sick too. i wish there was a bit of eye-candy given to energy, mana and rage bars too to make them look somewhat different but fitting the theme.

    Overall, I'm happy with what I'm seeing.

    PS. Dark Phoenix is gonna be SO overpopulated.

    Got to keep the gold farmers interested in the expansion. Sometimes I think Blizzard just does this to keep them buying subscriptions

    If you raid, a lot. Go do a quick Ulduar 10 mount run, it's piss easy and the rusty proto-drake will save you 5k.

    The update for the Mount tab seems a bit pointless. I was hoping for something better in terms of organization. Right now all mounts are thrown into a list without no proper organization. I would prefer something like:

    - organize mounts by type, i.e.:
    * 60% speed land mounts
    * 100 % speed land mounts
    * 150 % speed flying mounts
    * 280 % speed flying mounts
    * 310 % speed flying mounts

    - search tool
    - favorite mount tab, up to 5 mounts (for example)
    * You could have a button that randomly casts one of those favorite mounts


    What about titles? I would like a better use interface that allows me to chose any of the titles I've earned, and not only 5.

    Maybe it's for the same reason he calls himself Thrall? Also, his hair color is the result of the Old Gods' Curse of Hair. It afflicted Rhonin in Wrath, but he got better.

    Also, Garrosh in the loading screen looks badass. Speaking of that loading screen, apparently Vol'jin hates goblins. Who knew. Oh, and Bolvar is also cool. And Maiev. And everyone else, really.

    No, he still has it as of Wrath, but it uses a generic model for some reason.

    Yeah where are the class changes? I sure know there is Warrior changes like new Stances stats, the new Strike ability, Cleave off the GCD and shared with HS, white crits not giving double rage anymore, etc. They usually are the first things data mined.

    All you mentioned was them and thrall and then said, I should quit its so terrible. The loading screens are fine thrall could look better but hes better than player orcs and garrosh, please keep your hate over loading screens to yourself.
