Paladins get glowing eyes all the time when they channel the Light. The movie is just following the lore.

I dont know about that, but i do know the movie needs to appeal to more than just the warcraft fans to succeed, looking goofy will not do that. So far the plastic armor, and over the top cgi are not drawing a lot of good opinions and views from ppl that arent really warcraft fans.

I agree about the character posters, He probably recorded this before seeing trailer D, which alleviated a lot of the concerns regarding CGI.

Also, Forsaken, Blood Elf and Fel Orc eyes also glow. It's always been a part of Warcraft's lore, so I don't get people's complaints. Besides, glowing eyes = power is a well known and recognizable trope.

It also doesn't seem to happen for all spells, meaning it might just be some of the
more powerful ones that cause eye glow.

It's not about pleasing fans, is about being faithful to the source material.

And honestly I don't give a bloody fuck about the fucking complaints on CGI, "plastic armor" and similar bullshit. Ironically, most people who complain about these things are Warcraft fans.

If Iron Man can get away with having a plastic looking armor at times (which he does), Warcraft will do just fine.

As a warcraft fan i want the movie to succeed so they make more of them. Failing epically is not going to do any good for the franchise. Whatever though, i guess having plastic armor and glowing eyes is the way to go.

I personally couldn't care less if you care or not about people's complaints, you are irrelevant to me...

Iron Man is infinitely bigger than Warcraft. An Iron Man movie could look like a film from the 50s and it will still draw a larger audience than this warcraft movie will.

Wait... I've read the last few pages and... Someone talked about the second trailer? I heard another one was coming in march, but I thought that all the footage they've released (tv spots, the D trailer - funny name btw) was it.

  12. #1912
The Warcraft fans ARE the worst critics. Most of them DO NOT understand that this is a movie made for the general public, not for them. Yes it is about Warcraft, yes it will be canon. BUT it is a movie made for the general audience. That in mind the Warcraft fans are always going to NOT LIKE something about the movie. Voices, CGI, armor, sceneries, locations, the action, magic, etc... There will always be complains. SHIT they don`t like the game they pay money to play. They complain about the smallest shit. SO be ready for a couple of Warcraft fans that will go over the top and analize the shit out of this movie. Every breath of the characters, every flinch of an eye.

That is good if it is done in a nice way. But the QQing has to stop. The movie looks great. Well polished and with some CGI that blows your head off. The storry (the most important part of the movie) is great. THe deliverence, well we have Duncan there a man that did Moon (a HOLY SHIT movie) and Source Code (Another HOLY SHIT STORY MOVIE) so i think we are in some good hands. So lets just be greatfull we have a movie and that the movie looks soo good. Im not one to be greatfull with scraps but i`m one to respect the work they put into this film.

It will be a huge succes because they all expect it to be an Epic FAIL!

The director said he was confused by that most recent footage drop, because he
thinks there's "another proper trailer to come later".

It's non-canon except to its own universe.

I don't criticize Blizzard with regards to WoW at every turn - I seriously don't. I'm not one of those rabid people. However, up until a few weeks ago, I was seriously concerned about the CGI, the look of the armor, the general message of some of the trailers and posters and things. I still am concerned about some of those things. See, the point is, as Warcraft fans, we will all enjoy this movie, even if it isn't especially good. However, we all have a vested interest that it be extraordinarily good. It has to succeed even in the eyes of the general public because that puts Warcraft closer to LotR. That's why some people are being seemingly overcritical.

You certainly cared enough to respond to his comments multiple times. So cut the alpha male macho crap, noone's buying it.

I've always liked the glowing eyes. You can take something as adorable as a puppy or a kitten, but then they look demonic when their eyes glow in the almost-dark.

He's big now, but prior to 2008 he was less know to the public than Warcraft.

Apparently it's a trope that dates back to Athena in Homer's Iliad.

I for one love the glowing eyes. They look awesome, i mean : https://gfycat.com/EqualNauticalAndeancat

Khadgar and Medivh were the best part of the ''D'' trailer, and glowing eyes were one of the reasons they looked so cool imo. Nothing cheesy about them.

You seem very confident that this movie is going to be an epic fail. You display your complains as facts, having the impression that all people should think the same way you are. Well guess what, there are people who like everything about the movie so far. And trust me, you are irrelevant to us as well, we don't give a bloody fuck about your silly complaints.
Because at the end of the day, we're the ones that will sit down and enjoy a movie of our favorite franchise that we've been waiting for so long to come. While you're going to complain and analyze the shit out of this movie. So if anything, you're the only one who is going to epically fail, not us or the movie, as you'll throw away your chance to enjoy something that you are supposedly a fan of.
