You are also using the broken 3 stat items, it shouldn't really come as a surprise that you are doing more healing than other classes when you have twice as many secondary stats as they do. I don't think there is any problem with using the OP/broken items to see more on a boss fight so you can test mechanics and stuff but to try and use them to judge how well a class does is silly.

that is the equivalent of 17.8% mastery for other people, the Mistweaver one is done like that so that the mastery % is the % of spellpower it will heal for instead of them being different values, it used to be the opposite where we would have 1.78% mastery which just looked odd.

178 mastery is 10 mastery points, roughly equivalent to 10% crit.

Hey....it is good to check out other builds. Whats the point of testing if you only test one facet?

it's really easy to outheal holy paladins and resto druids when they're playing wrong.

p.s hey guys monk is even worse now this build. now it does shit tier hps and brings no utility xD

First because I can read anything I need about Mastery builds in here.

Second because I didnt like the idea of mastery having no impact on my Revival, EF, Vivify beside the primary target, ReM HoT when I first got into alpha at an early stage of the alpha testing. So I started with crit.

still, he pulled 370k and I think that's the most I've ever seen considering it's a crit build not the so popular "mastery 4 lyfe".

like i said it's pretty meaningless when the resto druid isn't playing correctly and the paladin is using beacon of savior xD

And this is why I avoid posting stuff about healing on the alpha forum for now, I can't remember shit.

Why was I sure Revival was affected... /shrug

Personally my problem with EF is that it's only useful in one situation... raids.

Is there even another healing spell like that in the game that is only good for 20+ people?
Actually a lot more than you think, pretty much every class and spec has 1 or 2. For Shamans it would be wellspring, Priests it would be their Hymns, so and so forth you can usually find something that you would only use in big groups. However these abilities aren't completely terrible in small groups either just not ideal.

Since the interaction with mastery EF is not bad in 5 groups, you have to run a bunch of mastery for it to be good tho.

Btw, don't compare a baseline spell like EF to raid CD's, they're not the same things, compare hymn to revival, not EF.

I was messing around with different healers yesterday for fun. I will say that I have mained every healer at some point (except pally) throughout my time since vanilla beta and I've mained monk since mop.

I find monk to be the strangest in a five man dungeon setting. Once I got used to enveloping mists being god mode it made more sense, but I feel its so clunky to have the passive soothing mists. I still don't get why they wanted to take that control away... To save a button? Combine it with crackling jade lightning like penance lol

But monk was the most fun healer for me yesterday. The others are very much back to basics

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

just thought about it, anyone here remember how our life cocoon was way back in mop early beta?

the cocoon would make the target immune to dmg/cc for like 10s and heal 5% of his hp every sec

althought it is very unlikely to see that coming back i think this would fix the uselessness(wut) of life cocoon and give us a bit more utility at the same time ?

otherwise just make the +50% on HoT from the cocoon a separate buff, so then it doesnt disappear after one hit from a boss, thoughts?

I believe this has been suggested a lot, at least back in the day. I've sort of fallen out touch.
It would indeed be a good idea.
