That sounds like a nice time! I'd have never considered a thing like that I have one of those books though, it has very intricate patterns and its really pleasant to watch them take shape.

Yeah, it was great. It was like 20 people. A few brought their kids. The kids mostly went outside and played on the trampoline while the adults hung out inside with thousands of colored pencils, markers, and crayons, and colored in our shit whilst drinking some awesome cocktails.

It was good times. Partly it was good times because I spent the whole evening chatting with a very attractive woman who I'd have asked out if I lived in that city. And I'm pretty sure she'd have said yes.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

They are a lot of fun, for me anyway. I have a few, I don't use them all that often, but occasionally if I'm not feeling well, or bored, or just get the urge to draw/doodle I might get one out. There are a lot of things that I don't know why they exist, this isn't one of them though lol.

Calling out someone for enjoying something as simple as coloring in a picture seems to be a tad overreactive imo, but I think we should agree at the very least that since we're having this conversation on a video game forum website, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? Even though many adults enjoy WoW in every age group, there are people who would gladly play the 'childish' card on them. While they may or not be right in each case, I find that the most immature behavior is in taking issue with how other people spend their time.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a very windy day. I remembered that I had a kite in the garage from last year, flew it and had a great afternoon just standing in a field, enjoying the sun and wind and dandelions. Are you going to call me childish too?

And yet, due to your post, we are all able to see that you are less mature than he.

As said already, it can be a stress reliever. Just concentrate on coloring. You don't have to think all that shit that annoys you. Hmmm... sounds a bit like meditating which is what I do when I need to shut up my head.

Didn't even knew it existed. Searched a bit on Amazon, some of those look amazing.

    Searched for nice pencil sets.

Have now an original gift for a friend in november. Thanks MMOC

While I do think colouring books are pretty I just find coloring so boring. I rather draw my own pictures than colour someone else's art.

My mom does colouring in as a therapeutic thing. Definitely not children's material though. Elaborate pictures, often mandalas from 1 specific thick colouring book full of them. And she'll just spend like an hour or so, maybe less, working on something and that's enough for her.

Wouldn't be my thing, but more power to people that have found a good stress relief for themselves or something they enjoy doing with it.

My wife sometimes knits skull caps out of yarn in the winter to pass the time. I'm all like, "Ok grandma...." but then she sells them for like $10 a pop to the locals at her work (she works at the front desk of a gym). $10 worth of yarn makes like 10 of them things lol

I'm pretty sure that Image comics has been putting out a monthly coloring book since like 2004 it's called the walking dead I think its on issues 155 or something.

My room mate does these sometimes and she's 30. I believe it's a stress reliever like puzzles or video games. It's just something to do.

The Anatomy coloring book is for college students working on medical degrees, and has been around for many years.

I own one myself. Learning all the bones and muscles in the Body is marginally interesting.

Colouring in something like this with symmetrical colours is satisfying as fuck

My wife loves this hobby. And she puts together some really good pictures when they are complete.

It makes her happy, makes me happy, and we both get to enjoy admiring the good work that she does

I could see women maybe doing this, but not men.

You have an unhealthy obsession of lolicon(and people who enjoy it), maybe you should go to a shrink or something.
