[TV/Books] Game of Thrones ***SPOILER Discussion***

So lets recap:

A Lannister killed a Targaryen to because the Targaryen went mad and threatend to unleash wildfire.

The Starks end up being the hand of the Lannisters in the North.

The Starks are killed by the Lannisters, a Lannister ends up being the Hand of a Targaryen.

Meanwhile the Lannisters end up using wildfire in a similar fashion that the Targaryens were about to do before slain by the Lannisters.

And turns one of the surviving Starks is actually a Targaryen and a Targaryen sails towards Westoros to dethrone the Mad Queen Lannister, who is lovers with the Lannister that saved the world from the Mad King Targaryen.

I love my high quality soap operas.

Brann is at the Heart-tree near the wall, where the Night's Watch say their vows, so I expect he will get an escort to Winterfell by them, I guess that will be the opening of season seven, episode one. Besides he can chill at the Heart tree at Winterfell, but I wonder how the lords will react to him, he is the true-born heir to Eddard Stark, jon is a bastard.

Being that the North has pretty much accept the threat of the White Walkers behind Jon, I think they'll figure that Brann already has a job. Also by rallying behind Jon they pretty much threw the namesakes out the window.

Nah, there is a popular theory going around that Jaime will kill Cersei or aid in her downfall after all is said and done. So far he has only seen the giant smoke cloud and Cersei take the throne, he doesn't know the details yet.

Jaime has always been a bit of a mystery to me, maybe the book details him more, but its like we've never gotten a full profile of Jaime. Whether he sides with Cersei or is disgusted by her is what will complete his character for me. He's always been sort of a neutral/lawful evil in my book.

Part of the prophesy was that Cersei would be killed by her younger sibling, at least in the book. Not so sure about in the show. regardless, Cersei and Jamie are twins, but I believe she was born first, so maybe.

I wish Davos had killed Melisandre where she stood by I also felt half and feeling of bad for her. She was trying to help, was the reason that they had gotten so far, and had felt like shit since that point. She is a "one soul for the greater good" type of person, but still, she burned an innocent kid, one of the sweetest kids on the show. I love that GoT has a way of painting these gray characters.

Damn that episode ... Kings landing and that music, just listening it now and the amount of chills. This episode, all the scenes were absolutely breathtakingly done and soooo good. Also all of the music in it was Epic+. Can't wait for next season.

Amazing episode indeed. My previous predictions all came true besides no hound/euron/white walker action at all. It would be interesting if next season Euron and his huge fleet team up with Cerci so its Danny and her army+Navy vs Cerci and her army+Navy duke it out for KL.

And i agree with whoever said that Miguel Sapochnik needs to direct the rest of this series because wow...two absolutely amazing episodes...so good.

Jaime has always struck me as a nobile bad guy, in another universe under better circumstances he would be a good guy (not many in the GoT universe). Seeing Jaime fully submit to Cersei would suck to watch, especially since it seems that hes started to see through her BS. Its like Jamie has a strong sense of duty for his family but he also has a voice in the back of his head that says "do the right thing".

I think Jack Bender did a superb job on The Door as well. Would be nice to see him direct more episodes as well, alongside Sapochnik.

I was also hoping for the ending to include the White Walkers destroying the wall, but don't they need the horn of winter? I just don't see them simply breaking it down by brute force. It's a rather mighty wall.

Best guess is that because Bran was...branded by the Night King, when he goes through the wall to go south, the brand will do something to the magic and let them get by it. Or it'll just be destroyed or something.

They definitely didn't make Benjen talk about the magic of the wall for nothing this episode.

The Euron storyline is flawed in that he has no ships. I laughed during that episode because he vowed vengeance but...HE HAD NO SHIPS. Ships take a long time to build. I'm thinking even if they go the route and give Euron a magically insta-fleet, the best he can do is cut Danny's invading fleet in half due to the inexperience of the Dothraki, still resulting in his defeat. I'm all for suspension of belief and plot armor but there is no way that Euron has a fighting chance against anyone without some sort of time jump in the story.
