"Exposing children to pornography" sounds like a pretty melodramatic way of putting it. But damn, if it gives me a reason to feel angry, then grrrr.

In reality though, you're suggesting that it's only an issue because a child supposedly saw it, but if that's the case then it's difficult to hold the streamer, Blizzard, or even the streaming service accountable because none of them can dictate who watches the stream.

There may be a lesson to be learned, but it can easily be learned without need for outrage.

I must ask what is the kids age, cus doesn't wow have a teen rating, and if you've got a younger kid, you've probably doing more damage to them letting them play such a game at their age far more than a dick pic for a split second.

Actually that's what I was wondering. To fit with the age rating, the kid would have to be at least 13.

If not, then I think the responsibility should lie with the parent for disregarding the age rating in the first place.

This event was for all ages. Blizzard was sponsoring this event by giving streamers beta keys. They and Swifty should've been moderating this. Having someone be exposed to pornography is just ..weird, awkward, and most importantly, unintentional when it comes to the reason of having the stream in the first place! seriously, i'd be weirded out as hell and pissed that me and my kid were exposed to someones dick on stream

Swifty is responsible for what shows up on his stream. Streaming is a bit like broadcasting in that sense. Whoever is in the chair is responsible for what goes out.

It's unfortunate that it happened but it did apparently and that's on him. Whatever happens to him is between him, Twitch and Blizzard. Blizzard needs to be a little more cautious about how they go about promoting their business with 3rd party promotions like this. There's nothing much else to say except that Swifty's giving out of beta keys favoring those who donate to the stream runs counter to the whole idea of the promotion and to me is a much worse thing than slipping up and allowing questionable content through.

Their policy is that pornographic material isn't allowed on Twitch. You'd think a experienced twitch streamer would know that
