"While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government. There is information, Primarily from FBI sources, that at least two of those individuals were alleged by some to be Saudi Intelligence officers."

A Saudi intelligence agent named Omar al-Bayoumi provided "substantial assistance" to the hijackers and met them inside of the Saudi consulate.

al-Bayoumi received payments from companies that had ties to bin Laden and al Qaeda.

Another alleged Saudi intelligence agent named Osama Bassman also gave direct aid to hijackers and worked with Bayoumi.

Bassman received money and possibly a fake passport from the Saudi government.

Bassman received assistance from the Saudi ambassador to the US.

Bassman was given a "significant amount of cash" a member of the Saudi Royal family in 2002.

Bassman is a known supporter of bin Laden, and has direct ties to other jihadist groups such as Eritrean Islamic Jihad.

An "accredited diplomat" named Shaykh al-Thumary was in contact with the hijackers. al-Thumary is a Shaykh at an anti-American mosque frequently attended by Saudi government employees at the consulate in Los Angeles.

A Saudi Interior Ministry official named Saleh Al Hussayen met with one of the hijackers in September, 2001.

Iraq attacked us on 9/11, that's why we had to invade them. They simply forced our hand.

    Right?..... Right?

That's not a srtaw-man, the Bush Jr. presidency said that Iraq attacked us and they had WMDs they were going to use against us soon, they even had Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice testify to those facts.

I hope you're not implying they lied and started multiple wars for personal profit. That would be pretty fucked up, even by Republican standards.

They absolutely started multiple wars for profit, in fact that's really the only motivation for wars nowadays.

    But.. that can't be true.

If it is then you're saying a Republican coalition convinced congress with lies to send US troops to preemptively invade a country, causing millions of combined casualties, just so that they could line their pockets.

    That'd be insane.

Yep, and they did it with help from their spiritual and financial partners in the Democrat Party.

I can tell you already actually know this though, so I appreciate your good humored pretense of obliviousness.

The US is very careful when it comes to releasing important documents they want little attention on. Same thing happened with the Iran Contra thing. I think they revealed the documents during Bill Clinton's scandal.

do you really think that the 28 pages are unedited lol?

OBVIOUSLY , they went through them, reworded them and changed to make sure no ties could be associated and to destroy all allegations.

They're clearly edited, since you can still see censored classified information in the released pages.

There is nothing "obvious" about your assertion that the visible wording is edited, which is baseless conspiracy theorizing.

The released document does not demonstrate that the Saudis are innocent.

It's not an "interesting view" that your theory about the documents being reworded and changed is baseless, it's a fact. You have absolutely no evidence for the assertion whatsoever.

They weren't reworded. From the day it was released any member of Congress has been able to read the 28 pages without the redactions.

As for the documents, it's pretty damning evidence Saudi government officials like Prince Bandar bin Sultan and other members of the Saudi royal family financed and aided the hijackers prior to 9/11. Also calls into question the Bush family's relationship with Bandar. "He was reportedly so close to George H. W. Bush that he was often described as a member of the former president's family."

We imposed trade sanctions on Russia for far less.
