"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35
VR boob headbutting is a bit weird. But it was bound to happen sooner or later so it's nice that the quality is high.
Lets be honest, the porn industry is huge, like dem bewbs on DOAX3.
Now about VR... yeah i think it'll go as well as the 3d tv -wii motion controller gimmick.

Total sidenote from GG, but:
On the other hand, these "video games" on that Atari 26-whatever and all those weirdos in arcades were just a gimmick, a fad that was going to die off in no time. People, and even experts, were sure of it.
But Atari was just the first step.
I'm hoping to see similar advances in VR technology, with Occulus & PSVR, etc being the Atari 2600 step of it, but I'm worried it won't even have the chance to grow with how many are just rolling their eyes and crying "GIMMICK" before they've tried it at all.
I'm hoping to see things like integrating Google Maps street view with VR, virtual tabletop gaming being a thing, and first person view being a matter of moving your head (hopefully with VR headsets improving the feeling of peripheral vision in First Person games) to quickly look around, all the way towards someday reaching the sci-fi visions of virtual reality.
The most compelling article I read for the believability of VR was actually a writer who was writing about trying out VR pr0n. She said that despite knowing there was nobody else in the room, she still instinctively flinched when the model came in to kiss her. It just felt like a stranger was moving in for a kiss without a hello, despite what her rational mind said. She also noted how weirdly surreal it was to take the role of a guy in the VR interaction when she's actually a woman (she did note there were entries from both perspectives).
As we know with VHS and bluray, if the adult entertainment industry embraces it, it's likely going to stick around. We'll see if VR can actually become more than what it is right now.
Not quite the same thing. That still requires everyone in the same room wearing a Hololens. I'm thinking more of how online gaming took multiplayer from LAN parties & couch gaming to playing with people across the globe each from within their own homes.
With VR, you could have a virtual table with your D&D group even after your buddy moved to Chicago, and another to California while you're in Florida or someone even joins from overseas.
But I digress...again, rather off topic. I'll shush now.
How joyous to be in such a place! Where phishing is not only allowed, it is encouraged!
Thank you randy pitchford for reviving gamergate, cuz you know, gamers are dead? Oh wait it's gearbox that's dying.

Not quite sure why people are giving GG attention.. Positive or negative. The whole thing has been incredibly stupid from the beginning.
Anime avatars, I swear.

He lost me as a fan back in 09' for this comment:
Opinions are opinions of course, but this isn't the opinion of someone I could trust to entertain me. What did he do this time though?I think dialogue trees frankly are boring as shit. I think that the idea of like reading a few paragraphs and then picking one of three responses, and then based on that I get a few more paragraphs or one paragraph or whatever it is, and then I have more choice, and I've got to get to the right path to get to the object I need or get the door to open or whatever. If I play the flowchart wrong, I start it over, and it's like the character gets clever and they kind of change a few things, but it's still the same path.
Most of the time, it's the exact same stuff. I'm doing the exact same conversation again because it's so expensive to create that content and there's so much of it. You know what? I don't understand the fun in that, frankly. I just think that's boring and slow. Maybe that's why I like shooters so much. We don't have any of that crap in Borderlands.
Which he did over this

Ah Gearbox, the studio that brought you Borderlands, all the Borderlands sequels and tie ins that you didn't want, plus a shit load of other terrible games like Aliens Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem Forever, before topping it all and trying to go up against Blizzard with Battleborn, keep it up Randy, i'm sure you'll make another decent game at some point.
