Wasn't it pretty much confirmed by Namco that there would be a port of Smash on the NX? I would imagine that would be a launch title and is probably why they are holding out on releasing the last three Smash amiibos.

Bandai Namco hasn't said anything in particular on what games are coming out, but industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto said that Bandai Namco is working on several games, including a Smash game.

If Smash 4 is being ported to the NX, it's being done internally or outsourced to someone like the Zelda ports. Sakurai confirmed the Smash 4 team was disbanded after the last patch.

I haven't heard anything about the team itself being disbanded, but Sakurai did say he was going on a vacation before his next project.

Smash 4 development team was mostly Bandai Namco, and the team is no more. Hence the dude you linked on twitter being full of shit. Smash 4 very well could end up a launch title on NX, but it won't be the Bandai Namco team overseen by Sakurai doing it.

So far this is worse than the WiiU line up. The only saving grace is Zelda but you can get that for WiiU too so???

On a first party basis, the NX has a much better line-up going in than the Wii U and 3DS. NSMBU is a great game, but not the strong 3D Mario we people were hoping for, especially within a few months after NSMBW; same with Nintendoland.

Also, forgot to add Pikmin 4 to the list of confirmed games, but it seems to be on the backburner despite being "almost done" according to Miyamoto.

Three things:

First, the translation doesn't say the team is disbanded. Could he have hinted it untranslated? Possibly, but I have very little understanding of any sort of Japanese.

Secondly, if Smash is coming to the NX, either as a port or as an entirely new game, there has to be someone working on it right now. Even if the previous game's team had been disbanded, then there should be another team working on it.

Finally, you're calling the guy who called RE7 before E3, Miitomo before Nintendo's Q3 2015 investors meeting, and someone who routinely goes to various investor meetings for Japanese gaming and electronic companies full of shit. Yup, uh-huh, sure, whatever.

Point is you should stop linking click bait from people that have no clue what they're talking about. I'm no "insider" and I guessed a Smash 4 port to NX over a year ago. Citing blatantly false information like "Namco is working on Smash for NX" is laughable. The Bandai Namco team stopped developing smash and I linked you the proof.

If the Bandai Namco team was going to do the NX port- development wouldn't have ended and they would still be working on the game. The NX port if it happens is going to be just an quick port job(likely outsourced, or done by a small team internally) with no balancing changes or anything new added.

Rumor: NX controller to have basic motion controls, similar to fidelity to the Wii Motion Plus, and have "advanced vibration force feedback."

Also, the NX controllers will be designed to phase out the Wii remote, but the Wii remote will still see limited use with some multiplayer games.

The vive vibration is lame compared to the Xbox One controller.

In fact the Xbox One controller is the only one where I felt the rumble actually added something to the experience. You actually feel yourself squeezing the trigger in as shooting game, or riding your hand brake as you drift in Forza.

The release of the N3DS in Japan was on a Saturday, you were right about games though.

Most of it is confirming some of what we've heard from other sources, but two big things were talked about:

• One dev said the NX is "a complete reboot for Nintendo"
• Detachable controllers are very cheap and use IR, but are not the standard controllers for the NX, they called them "travelling controllers."

Japanese law states that console launches must be on weekends. This means, at least for Japan, a March 4th launch is very possible.

If they are doing a worldwide simultaneous launch, then it must be on the 4th or they may do it on the Friday before everywhere else.
