Maybe in the original language, but Rem and Lem are pronounced quite differently in English, which is what is bothering me.

I mean, you can pretty much read them correctly if you always read "L" as "R", "J" as "Y", "C" as "CH" and put an O/U (depends) in the end of consonant ending syllables.

Example: "Light" is read as "Raitō"

After a while it won't really matter if they're being written with L or R, it's the same crap. But yeah, no reason whatsoever to change what people are already used to use.

Just finished Diebuster and holy shit that ending. I absolutely love how they made the connection to Gunbuster there and I didn't expect that at all. Absolutely wonderful scene with great impact.

Again, the OST was very good but it did feel a bit too playful for me in parts, especially in the first few episodes. I also just liked the way everything looked. Some parts did have something Disney-ish about them that I can't exactly put my finger on and wasn't too fond of, but overall the show was quite pleasing visually. I also felt like there some similarities in design between this show and the NGE rebuilds, though I might be misassign that because of my lack of context considering the gap between them.

It was also nice to see some of the things that were referenced by later Gainax/Trigger shows. Space Patrol Luluco Luluco was literally Nono at the end. Can't get any better.

I would say that I'd ultimately prefer Gunbuster over Diebuster by a tiny bit but I can hardly give Diebuster any less than an 8/10.

New Game - This was so damn good. Was pleasantly surprised when it ended up being a somewhat of a fluffier Shirobako instead of just being 100% fluff. All the girls were really great, too.

And Yagami, fuckkkkk. I'm actually in love guys. Why isn't she real.

Because they think that their translation method is "better" in how they adapt names and that they're important enough to think that (which they aren't, they translate manga online). If it's the first version, that's fine (a la Akame ga Kill), but if they're translating something after essentially official names come out and they choose something else, chances are they're retarded.
Finished ReZero. Solid 8/10. It would have been a 9 or maybe even a 10, but Rem really dragged down the show for me in a lot of ways. I'm just happy she wasn't in the last couple of episodes. It was much better without her there.

Essentially. Elitism is rampant in the anime community, especially with the ones who bring content to everyone else. It's not everywhere, but it's definitely there. That elitism accounts for big egos in how they do things. Just look at Commie's nazi-esque control of Nyaa. Their near-total control of what gets Blue (though they are pretty good about it) can really change how we view sub groups and how subs are done.
