I can't help but give a sad, drawn out chuckle at this whole situation. What an embarrassment this election has been, from start to finish to now. Doesn't seem like we'll ever hear the end of it, either.

McCain, Burr, King and Corker all seem to be on board as well and McConnell is at least not trying to stop it at this time. You can spin it how you want basically, but there seems to be bipartisan interest in this.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about Republicans that supported the recount effort.

Not going to learn anything that jill stein hasnt uncovered in her fruitless recount effort. Trump is still prevailing lol.

I can see why, they probably plan to use Trump to pass some of the more screwed up shit that they could never get passed in a sane administration and then scapegoat Trump with it.

But should he step out of line, they can try and declare him "Unfit" and invoke Section 4 of the 25th amendment and remove him from power without an impeachment and replace him with Pence. And since he isn't "One of them" I wouldn't put it past them in the slightest and the more evidence they can get for that claim, the easier it would be for them.

to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

the neocons want their war with russia and the results will lead to russia looking like they did something. its all bs. the "bipartisan" appearance is phony because it is the same line of thinking and not convincing. only war america needs is one on dumb politicians that should be forced to retire along with their out dated thinking.

Wouldn't work. The wording of Section 4 is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" and being a shitty president doesn't qualify.

They can label him as mentally unable to and go from there, that decision is to be made by the vice president and the majority of the principle officers and then congress deciding. He can fight it, but they ultimately make that decision.

And he has already given them so much they could use for proving a mental case against him. To have thing related to hacking or outright corruption tied to him, that would make for an even stronger mental case.

because robert kagan is nuts and people in washington actually listen to him. the war mongers need an enemy and a war. you can read his columns and judge for yourself. his wife is currently the deputy secretary of state.

NSA and CIA reports seem sufficient ground to justify further inquiry. Keep in mind Obama isn't actually proposing legislation here.

Yet all this line of thinking has are perceived threats. I bet the dnc guy that died over the summer probably leaked those emails etc.

    Yes.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/08/us...ails.html?_r=0

In a statement from the director of national intelligence, James R. Clapper Jr., and the Department of Homeland Security, the government said the leaked emails that have appeared on a variety of websites “are intended to interfere with the U.S. election process.”

The emails were posted on the well-known WikiLeaks site and two newer sites, DCLeaks.com and Guccifer 2.0, identified as being associated with Russian intelligence.
    So yeah.......

    Yeah... so no.

Only two intelligence entities – the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – have weighed in on this issue, not 17 intelligence agencies [as Hillary Clinton had claimed]. And what they said was ambiguous about Russian involvement. An unclassified October 7, 2016 joint DNI-DHS statement on this issue said the hacks

“. . . are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow — the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europa and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia’s senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.”

Saying we think the hacks “are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts” is far short of saying we have evidence that Russia has been responsible for the hacks. Maybe high-level officials would have authorized them if Russian hackers were responsible, but the DNI and DHS statement did NOT say there was evidence Russia was responsible.

lol, I give you the NY times and you give me some random blog and a youtube video. What's a matter you didn't have a chain email to link?

You'd have more credibility if you said you just made it up.

While I'm confident that the election results are (sadly) accurate. I am also confident that Russia sanctioned this "attack".
