I think you can also see others sometimes as well. The one time I saw it there was no sheep anywhere I ran all over the damn place and looked in every corner to be sure. It's like a sick joke. But I got the frost and fire super fast so don't guess I can complain.

So I guess the system is a clown fiesta on its own, great.

I checked the GM response again and now that I see it.... Actually I will post what I asked and what the response was.

Q: Not exactly a quest, but it's the Sheep in Mage Hall invisible quest that has daily chance of activating. Tonight I entered my class hall and the sheep emote popped the moment I exited game, when I logged back in, it wasn't there. Is there a chance that it won't spawn again? Also does loot spec affect it? I changed it to arcane recently and all this time before I changed it I didn't have the luck to get the emote.

A: No worries about that. It will appear at some time in the future again. As before it is random. And yes you have to be in Arcane Specialisation to be able to hear and apearing.

Update: Got the sheep emote again while I was afk in hall in fire spec & arcane loot spec but the sheep was nowhere to be found, also used /target Explosively Volatile blabla.

That seems to be bs. I never changed my loot spec all expansion long and already got the arcane and frost appearances.

Which means you were in frost/arcane role spec accordingly when the portal/sheep emote happened? Or which means that the GM who talked to me was spreading misinfo?

I was not in arcane or frost spec when the emotes happened.
I also get the Emotes for the feral Druid artefct appearance on my boomie alt.

Considering I spun my camera around and had my camera way the heck out, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed a sheep ( I was also down by the mission table when I saw it).

I haven't gotten the vengeance dh yet either. I have been trying to get it since launch.

I have been farming that stupid thing daily for 3 months now, annoying as hell. The upside is if you unlock the other skins 100 dungeons, 1000 kills and whatever the WQ total is, you can use those skins for your other specs. You won't have access to the main frostfire skin on your mage or the DH one, but you can easily get the fire skin or havooc skin and bang out a few requirements for the 3 if you care to.

Now, unfortunately imo and I think for many others the base appearance is the coolest one but... the good news is Blizzard has no intention of fixing the ability to fake the hidden appearances. https://twitter.com/warcraftdevs/sta...48605922082816 so getting the Fire one and unlocking the alternate versions does seem like a fool proof way to use it.

They mentioned they'll be adding bad luck protection for the hidden appearances that rely on RNG. I believe it was for 7.1.5

Edit: They said "Future Patch" so it could be 7.2 unfortunately. Or somewhere inbetween.


If that is the case, the real question becomes. . .
Does it remember all my previous rolls and give me the protection I should have accrued?
OR
Do we have to start fresh and build it up?

You'd have to name me a single instance where a newly implemented system that basically counts stuff for you is implemented retroactively. It's goign to count from the day it's implemented. 99% sure.

If that info is worth anything - I can also confirm this, I've done the entirety of the feral screech minigame while primarily playing Guardian Druid.

Transmog rework did not work retroactively. All items that I no longer had on my char didn't count. Do you have any idea how many appearances, which I have legitimately earned when the content was current, I didn't get because I didn't keep them in my bags for 10 years?

Well makes you the only one, it even had old PvP set I earned before BC, certainly didn't keep that around.
