Trudue is from the liberal party, which is not even left wing lol.
Assuming Canada does not use the American definition.

Merkel's CDU is Germany's conservative party.

I mean, it's more complicated than that because political situations are complex and different from country to country, but of the CDU and SDP, the former is what we would traditionally consider the "right wing" party.

I think this obsession with Merkel is really just evidence of a massive culture shock right wing Americans have when looking at European politics.
    Liberal-conservative party*

Her party was just the closest one I could think of that is currently in power in one of the 'big' countries(we also got one, but we are hardly as big as Germany).

Out of the 'big' countries, off the top of my head, its France with the most left-wing party in power.

So what? A carbon tax is necessary. We need to protect the environment. Most aboriginals are glad Mr Trudeau is taking steps to do this.

Did you give lying lessons to trudeau or did you learn from him? carbon tax is doing nothing but taking money from the poor and being spent on bs policies

Great article here and I have to say, I really agree. The stakes are at an all time high. Given the way the world is going, we all need Mr Trudeau to succeed and inspire hope. When we see the rise in hate crimes elsewhere, it speaks volumes why a leader who inspires others and preaches tolerance and understanding is needed!
Canadians get a front row seat to how deregulation and tax cuts can completely fuck an economy. Guarantee Trudeau is fine after the slow motion trainwreck that is Trump

Same can be said for any socialist dictator. Are you ready to start praising Stalin as "larger than life".

Well unlike Stalin fidel didnt conduct genocide so while he was a tyrant a thief and a murderer he was one of the least bad "communist" dictators.

Hope he is defeated in some way or another. Please finally let this volatile illtolerent liberal political affiliation go away. We don't need more discrimination and hate in this world. Luckily it looks like the World is pointing that out.

He is a shoo in for another majority in 2020. Canada is in good hands and Mr Trudeau will likely continue spreading tolerance, diversity and understanding.

Hey, watch out who you call weak!!

Trudeau is a virtue signaler who cannot see beyond surface level on any issue. He merely knows that it's the current year.

Trudeau might have some progressive social views, but his economics are terrible. People need to stop worshipping politicians.
Take a break from politics once in awhile, it's good for you.

That's what Trudeau and the Liberals are generally seen as, somewhat in spite of their campaign-to-the-left-govern-to-the-right habit.
