The rumors weren't kidding when Nintendo was looking at Android for inspiration. That system menu looks almost identical to an older Android system menu (not sure which version).

Mite be because its Pre-Day 1 update or the dashboard is 480p but games scale to 900p or whatever the max was said to be.

How many rational people actually think that it would have. I always thought the ES games looked like shit to begin with. But to play it on the go will be nice regardless of the graphical downgrade. That is the big draw of the system. You can play console type games on the go. Most rational people understand you will not have XB1/PS4 graphics in the Switch.

If they developed 4 versions, it will be a downgraded version of the PS4 version. I mean DQ Heroes looks pretty good on it.

D3 on the switch would be sick af. Might actually make me want to buy it if it happens. I'm personally waiting on the switch, I'm expecting a more optimized and better hardware ver to come out eventually.

S0 I was just looking at r/Gaming and saw a few clarifications.

The 480p resolution is because the Switch has not been hooked up to a TV and does not know what other resolutions can be played at, and 480p is a fallback resolution in case something ends up happening.

As for the memory, storage devices are marked as 1000^3 bytes while devices read storage as 1024^3 bytes. The actual GB in the system is 29.8, so the amount of storage space save for the system is 3.9 GB.

Eh, I would've been more interested a month ago. I don't know why they haven't done a "meet the Switch OS" video yet when we're two weeks away from release. I'm pretty damn sure we knew about the Wii's "channels" well in advance of its release. Anyways, it looks fine. Kinda like a 3DS meets Xbox One. Standard stuff, nothing particularly interesting to me.

It's 7 gigs for the OS. My Android phone has 8 gigs, but only 4 is usable due to the OS and preloaded bloatware I can't delete.

Technically you lose only 4GiBs. This is assuming that it's reading storage space like every OS so far has.

So basically the reason I wrote GiBs instead of GBs is because OS reads it as 1024 bytes per kilobyte, and 1024 kilobytes per megabytes and so on. When it writes as GBs, it is written in increments of thousands. That means 32GBs is 32,000,000,000 or 32 billion bytes basically. However 32GBs is actually 29.8GiBs (32000000000/(1024^3)) when read by the OS, cause that's how OS operates.

Most gaming stores set aside a certain number of systems for preorder, and leave a few alone for last minute buyers. So you could buy one at launch.

Problem is you will have to be quick about it.

Also, most places don't have preorders going anymore.
