i am going to punch this bully in the face
Haven't done this in a while so I may have missed some, but here are numbers!
Feb 20-26
Spoiler:
YOI still selling pretty well on v3, though not the 50k BD sales it was getting for v1 and 2. LL dropping down to 23.8k is kind of sad, compared to the original shows sales, but still good. Seeing vol 4 of Zaregoto out and still only episode 1 having been subbed irritates me to no end. Fuck you Commie.
Feb 25 - Mar 5
Spoiler:
Interesting to see LL add another 10k on week 2, which makes me happy. FF's numbers going down even further is sad though.
Mar 6-12
Spoiler:
Not much here, except for Ao no Exorcist's pitiful volume 1 numbers. Compared to s1's 12.7k avg, this is just sad. I guess everyone forgot about it after 6 years of nothing, kind of like DRRR.
Mar 13-19
Not an easy copy format, so I'll just put notable ones, but there's only one that really matters.
2,330 2,330 1 Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon v1
For KyoAni's new hit, these are pretty bad numbers. I guess it doesn't have the popularity in Japan that it has in the West. It was even an event ticket, so it could drop down more.
Mar 20-26
10,069 10,069 1 Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 v1
2,830 2,830 1 Gabriel Dropout v1
2,049 2,049 1 Demi-chan wa Kataritai v1
Whoever said KonoSuba wasn't going to do well S2 is insane. This is just as good as S1, easily. With numbers like these I expect a S3.
Gabriel and Demi aren't as high as I would have liked, but for the type of shows they are it's really not that bad.
Another one that didn't even rank was Chaos;Child, which sold 410 BD volumes for v0 and 387 for v1. That's pathetic. When is the industry going to realize shitty adaptions of ; games aren't going to sell, and they should learn to adapt them like Steins;Gate was.
I had a great time watching K-on! and Hoarse Yui (ep. 6) remains my favourite. I’m certainly glad there was very little of (on-stage) embarrassing moments and the comedy was produced mostly by interactions between the girls, I probably wouldn’t enjoy the show otherwise. I guess the weakest part was Azusa, she was nowhere near as cute as the rest of the girls (maybe except Ritsu) :3 I’ll certainly watch the 2nd season once I need to cheer up again.
Then I gave Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror a shot. The first two stories weren’t much to write home about, the last one, however, was great. It’s the main reason I picked the show in the first place as it features the Medicine Seller from Mononoke series and to me it was among, if not the, best of mononoke stories.
Right now I’m slightly more than halfway through Trigun. I feel kinda cheated by the awesome opening though, as I expected ton of coolness with some goofs here and there. It seems it’s the other way around – lots of goofs with cool bits few and far between. And the fact that people in this anime most of the time don’t seem to be bothered by living in a barren wasteland bothers me instead. Goofs are all good, but it's rather disappointing thus far, I wonder if the movie's better in that regard.

Well, I've finished zero escape: virtue's last reward. not really spoilerish stuff here (mostly just gameplay with mention of an ending's title): I only realized you could "jump" to any point you've unlocked when I only had 2 bad endings, and the start of the last arc left to go (just before phi's ending if you need context)...because I had no idea what to do and hit X instead of circle

So, I finally got around to watching the Steins;Gate movie (by the time I remembered it existed it was announced to be coming West, so I decided to just wait for it). Spoilers also contain some Steins;Gate 0 information as a heads up.
I'm torn between giving it a 7 or an 8, so I guess that would be a 7.5. Granted, while that's still a decent score, my overall issue was the movie felt more like fanservice than an actual continuation of the plot. This is probably hindered by the fact that I played Steins;Gate 0 before watching the movie, since the movie is older and there was a few overlaps/retcons in the plot, which could easily be written off though I suppose as "Different world lines", like the whole Yuki being someone Daru met online issue, where in Steins;Gate 0, she was a friend of Mayuri who introduced them. I would have to double check in Steins;Gate 0 since it appears as if none of the wiki pages were updated for it, but I swore they mentioned Yuki being friends with Mayuri for a while, not a recent development. Either way, not a big deal, just something I was a bit thrown off about.
Also, the whole Okabe falls through timelines due to "cracks" and his Reading Steiner also seemed a bit silly of an explanation, since that never happens during Steins;Gate 0 despite him suffering heavily from PTSD at the time (Instead, the time line shifts are written off as caused by his interactions/choices).
I'm awful at writing reviews due to my brain jumping around far too much, so I'll end it on a quicker note, which is the biggest thing that bugged me (since apparently I'm known somewhat for having the stupid little details bug me a lot :P )
KURISU DIDN'T HAVE A PHONE UP TO HER HEAD AFTER TIME LEAPING BACK, HOW COULD THEY
But I did super enjoy the fact that the time machine started with "OR", which I couldn't imagine being for anything other than Okabe Rintarou, since Okabe also named his time machine after Kurisu (C for Christina). That was a really nice detail. Also how they actually included Nae being the real murderer of Moeka, thought they would have continued to push that to the side and ignore it.

I never imagined the show I was waiting for the most every week ended up being this show.
Hit and miss is indeed the best way to describe this experience. I'm still a bit salty how the last episodes were mostly miss for me but at the very least this final episode was very enjoyable. Not the best this show has to offer but a fun episode nevertheless.
7/10
I give it 8/10 and this is because its the 1.st anime i liked that was made out of video game and it didnt turn out crap. (wixiros was ok for example, but nothing special)
Don't sweat the details!!!
Trigun is on my PTW, it looks good in terms of concept and story. But holy shit, it looks terrible in terms of animation and picture. I try not to be that dick who complains about that stuff, it just looks like it has aged poorly. SEL also wasn't that impressive from a quality perspective, but it was a great watch. So sometimes the anime itself supersedes the animation and such.

Azusa isn't meant to be cute at first. She's the audience surrogate, asking the same questions like when is the music coming, and are they seriously going to just screw around and eat cake? She starts to come around once she starts to realize how much fun she's having. Watch season 2 sooner rather than later; there's a little more substance to season 2 and there's a bit on an overarching story as well. Glad you enjoyed it as it's one of my favorite shows by far.
FWIW, I gave the movie an 8 (which on second thought, your score is probably more accurate, but MAL doesn't let us score X.5's for some stupid reason), so I'm basically on the same boat as you... although I didn't read much of your score because I don't want S;G 0 spoilers.

There is a high chance I'm going to a convention in June. Who should I cosplay as?
