What do you want to see in a new Caverns of Times Dungeon/Raid?

I made a similar thread a few years back but I just want to see what you guys think since a new expansion can possibly introduce new Caverns of Time raids and dungeons. Would you guys want escort type of dungeons like Culling of Stratholme? Or would you guys rather just have a traditional dungeon that follows certain events of the RTS games, or maybe a wave based one like the Battle of Mount Hyjal raid? Also what event would you guys like to see redone in a raid or dungeon? I personally would like to see a short raid themed around the siege of stormwind in Warcraft 1 since the majority of caverns of time dungeons turns you into alliance races I think it'd be a nice change.

I actually didn't even think of that. Having events like that would be really cool for an old god themed expansion if they wanted to show the full power of old gods in a way that doesn't impact the current Azeroth. There would be so much room to create interesting dungeons that way too.

    I have a few ideas:

    The Pandaren Uprising
    The Troll Wars
Helping Arthas claim Frostmourne in Dragonblight
The mission into Naxxramas with Darion
The War of the Satyr in Felwood

    Yes!
I even want to expand Caverns of Time, to have larger area or second foor & etc.
    It's very iconic place.

Nothing. I want to stay as far away from time travel as virtually possible. It's mostly been bad for storytelling in the past. The ONLY instance I think it worked well was the Culling of Strathholme.

What if they did legacy through caverns of time? Like the entire Azeroth and raids and whatnot.
You could have a legendary item in your inventory that would save your progress and level.
    If only.

Yes! Caverns of time being expanded would be so nice. Especially since it hasn't been put to good use since the Cata War of the Ancients dungeon.

    WC1 and WC2 would make good re-tellings.

War of the Shifting Sands, probably.

    +1
Also, there are still some events even from the books, or the history.
Or just things that would happen in alternative reality. (Nozdormu have some troubles over there)

    Sounds great!

Now if AQ was remade graphically to be on par with current content, I'd be all for it.
I agree, I really don't want just a rehashed AQ, I want it completely new, new models, new assets etc. The whole AQ theme is just amazing and was one of my highlights in Vanilla. I'd love to go back there.

Would certainly be interesting. I wonder in what way or era. Could it be related to Black Empire era (dunno if that applies though since C'thun wouldn't be imprisoned) or maybe War of the Shifting Sands.

Either this or the Proto Drakes (the Aspects) fighting against Galakrond.

I would also love to experience the elementals war... It could be interesting and it could be a way to give Neptulon and Therazane some interesting Boss mechanics. (i would exclude Ragnaros and Alakir from such a raid...)

Sadly we wouldn't be mantid. During the time of the Black Empire the Mantid, Nerubians, and Silithid didn't exist. Just their ancestors, the Aqir. Though I do like the idea of going back to the Black Empire and taking part in the battle to subdue the elements as the Infinite Flight tries to help the elements.

Chronicles is very clear, at the time of the Black Empire there was just the aqir. After the old gods were beaten and sealed away the bug people started changing. I don't have Chronicles 1 in front of me but IIRC they became the three distinct races before the trolls showed up and the trolls broke up their new empires. The mantid talk about Y'shaarj like that because they evolved into the mantid under his essence. Chronicles doesn't say this outright but I got the impression that once contained the old gods corruption became more potent around their prisons. So instead of being effected by all 4 at once, the aqir were effected by just the one they were near, thus each of breed being loyal to the one they evolved near.
