OT: Much harder to rank someone in PvE. DPS? Well what if they are padding meters and not doing their job? I'd say that they are not the best. But then who else?

I would say Anaxie, Butosai, Kisko, Pbad, and Requital. They not only rank in the top 25 consistently but they also KNOW thier class AND are active posters who help out with theorycrafting and even noob questions. There is so much more to being the best than just putting out numbers these 5 (Im sure there are more) really stand out in my mind for thier overall contribution to the Ret community.

I would discard the first 2 for the same reasons you mention them, those 2 doesnt help anybody they constantly tell others they wrong without telling them why. They think that because of parses they sould be worshipped, there are a lot of rets that doesnt post enjoy the game and are better players than them and dont need the urge to show off.
Repeteadly getting bans are proof enough of their behavior, the other 3 i completely agree i would read anything with their name on it and thats jsut my personal opinion.

The way Rets are now i dont think anybody could be called "The Best".

@zErA : Legible posts would make your comments more credible. Just because you happen to not like Anaxie and Butosai, for what I see as pretty flawed reasons, doesn't mean they are as bad as you say they are. Also, mods aren't infallible. If you think them getting banned means they're bad, you could ask Req about that sometime. It's a common occurrence, and in the long run, doesn't mean anything really (as far as their contributions are concerned).

Finally id gladly give any "best ret in the world" title that I would ever get to Vanguards. What he does is far more impressive than pressing my buttons in the right succession.

Id also like to add that No one player will stick out this teir because of the nature of gurthalak. Its just way too RNG for one person to repeatedly get a ton of procs and get rank 1 on multiple fights.

I also give my award to Vanguards, the state of PvE has been lacking for a few years now. Not really hard to excel in a PvE environment anymore. And DS just is a tier I really don't care for in terms of parsing, most of it relies on your guild or what players are doing.

Want #1 Morchok? Need quick raid dps to avoid that extra stun and healers capable of keeping you alive, also need tanks to not pull a retard and make the boss completely sprint away from you after black blood ends.

Want #1 Yorsaj, HA Good luck need doubel add spawn blood combo back to back to back. And have raid slack on AoE if their letting you parse.

Want #1 Zonoz? Be allowed to sit on boss and have raid bounce ball faster and to a higher number.

Want #1 Hagara? Hope your ranged DPS can kill frost beacons very rapidly, and noone breaks your lightning chain, and you don't get blocked and do plenty of AoE on all blocks

Want #1 Gunship? too bad your #1 will be RNG killed when the entire ship is on fire because fire brigade went on strike.

Want #1 Spine? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Want #1 Madness? Have people slack on spellcleave so blood don't die early. Run with 3-4 tanks to taunt bloods and drop debuffs and spellcleave all day long baby.

Needless to say Parsing this tier is about PadPadPadPad and RNG on how your raid performs the encounter, The only personal non raid factored fight is Ultraxion. Atleast we have one fight to show who is the best single target burner.

I had a pretty terrible crit rate everything else was a dream come true RNG wise. Maybe next week I'll hit 50k

Also you kill it 20-25 seconds faster, I'd hope you could beat me without that long a stretch after Final zeal burst.
