What does it matter if the console version is 18 months old. I didn't play it yet, it's as good as new to me. And I'm willing to forgive the long wait if it's actually a good port, which of course, remains to be seen.

Cyanotical was most on point with my original question. Never said I was wondering about fps, I'm well aware. It's more about RAMDisks and speed.

It will matter but the question as per usual is "does it worth it?". How much more are you going to pay to get that extra MHz and are you going to transfer high amount of data alot?

Also important and can't tell myself, since i was never in that platform series, are you even going to able to maintain say 2800Mhz while having a good cpu overclock?

Wish I could say the same for my tower. Pretty sure my water block pump is fried, it's rattling like an irate baby, and my i7 was at 85 celcius as soon as I logged in.

Hmm I think I'll buy a D15 tomorrow. Moved my rig into a snuggled little spot under the desk where I can't keep tinkering with it (and I don't want to anymore). My Corsair H100 is nearing it's 2 year mark, it's done a beautiful job...but now I need something I can install and forget about for years to come.

Is this what growing older feels like?

My Corsair H100 is nearing it's 2 year mark, it's done a beautiful job...but now I need something I can install and forget about for years to come.

Yes. I set my overclock back to stock over the summer because fuck having even more hot air in this room when I can be happy for it only to be 25°C in here. I still haven't set it back, and have no inclination to do so either.

Last year I said to hell with overclocking and replaced my 2500K with a 3770, soooo, yeah.

Hey I got it used for next to nothing because the previous owner didn't realize they couldn't OC with it!

Plus, I like my CPU running very cool and quiet.

...And it kind of helps me now because I have to use a stock cooler on it since my water pump is dead.

D15 is probably the best air cooler around but i will never buy it myself. I can't stand the colours, i got one case fan (25euros..) just to check it out and still hate the looks. Only reason i haven't got it out yet its cause i payed a decent amount for it and going to hide or paint it on my soon to come new case.

Same for me. During july-august with temps going up to 40-45d outside, up to 30inside, not much gaming going atm anyway, also cause ... by the sea time ... I just clocked it back 2 weeks ago.
