Gobal warming is bull shit... It's all the weather that is fucked up now and what we are aiming for is not higher temperature but another glacial era. We are accelerating the cycle of earth.

I think Al Gore doesn't really fear that though, looking at how he's spent his money.

yes, the globe is getting hotter. the question of the day is: what's causing it? personally, i think it's a bit of both natural and man made. i don't think we are the biggest cause like what some scientists and politicians say but we still contribute to the problem no matter how much.

Who cares about Al Gore? Why do people pretend discrediting him means anything?

Far from it. It's way too small of a time table for any conclusive evidence.

Global food production plummeting causing mass starvation and skyrocketing food prices - that would be a bummer too.

The Texas draught last year would be typical and get worse. Basically, you'll have "Mexican" desert move further into the US, similarly in Europe you'll have Sahara move North into Spain, Italy and Greece (as if their economy wasn't in a mess already...). And so on. Exactly how it is going to work out isn't all clear cut. Canada might end up profiting RELATIVELY, but not in absolut terms if the global economy is put under such strain that the 1930'ies depression will seem like a walk in the park compared to the situation when the most arable land in the world is flooded, economies collapsing and forced migrations when cities become uninhabitable. It will probably not be pretty.

It doesn't really work that way. Good farmland is good, bad farmland is not an equivalent. Good farmland exist largely close to open water, because that is where it's been built up over millenia by sediments and such. Close to rivers, lakes and the sea. Plains mainly exist in low lying areas. You can't just go up into the mountains and expect good farmland.

On top of that, you have to move all the man-made infrastructure, like roads, buildings, cities - everything that matters. Rebuilding our enitre infrastructure might have some cool side effects as we can built it better and smarter. But you bet it sure aint going to be cheap. See how Japan struggle to rebuild after the Earthquake. We're talking about a rebuilding 10 or 100 or 1000 times that - on a global scale.

I don't think anyone will want to take the bill, if they can't even be arsed to take the much much cheaper costs of cutting carbon emissions NOW.

He bought a huge ass house on the California coast. I'd say he isn't worried about it. Then again, Al's been a little crazy since he lost that election.

The thought that our paltry amount of CO2 is controlling it is just a HUGE SCAM!

The scientific community has always been divided on it. And few of the predictions have panned out, and there's been no real warming for over 10 years.

The liberal orthodoxy still adheres to it, but that's because the proposed "solution" of everything from carbon credits, to shutting down western economies is a way to make them rich while forcing an economic collapse and replacing the economy with communism or socialism. That's pretty much the leftist dream. So they use mob tactics to shout down anyone who disagrees and calls them "deniers".

    Great starter vid on it:

Global warming is as conclusive as bigfoot.

There is much more need of tangible evidence.

Who needs education when you have the largest and most accurate encyclopedia ever?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change_skeptics

Just kidding: Scientists and people with PhDs are also saying there's man-made climate change with pretty much the same arguments.

I'm still amazed that you can rub a proof in someone's face and he'll still be in denial.
