Fair enough. Well almost all studies have found no direct link between weapon availability and crime levels. If that were the case for example Switzerland, or hell Czech republic where I live would have much higher crime rate than say, Great Britain.

You have a point. Though like it says in the link I provided "We analyzed the relationship between homicide and gun availability using data from 26 developed countries from the early 1990s. We found that across developed countries, where guns are more available, there are more homicides. These results often hold even when the United States is excluded." and this LINK You have to admit that homocide and gun availability are related even if other factors are also included.
