Tracfone GSM Service
Net10 CDMA/GSM Service
Also tracfone will bring a line of android phone when i don't know but there is a leak photo of what they look like

after putting one of the grandkids of Mr AT&T through college for years, this month my contract ends, and I'll be paying for a phone outright from now on. I'm switching to Ting where I calculate that my same usage will cost me $21-33/month instead of $90/mo from AT&T. I bought a used nexus s on ebay for $60 for the network, and I can sell my used phone for $75 on glyde.com
I see no reason to pay for a data plan that costs $25/mo(my current) for 200mbs(2gb limit) a month of casual use, but since it was a smart phone I had to have data. I also see no point in paying $40/mo(cheapest tier) for 450 minutes when I have already accumulated 4000+ rollover minutes with that, I average about 200-300 minutes a month. Then for text messages, I use about 1000 of them a month, which costs me $20/mo(unlimited).
I threw out cable/sat a couple of years ago, I'll not be choosing to get a "convenient" package ever again. Charge me a fair price for what I use, not stick me with an overpriced "small" package that is 4 times what I need.
Prepaid. Virgin Mobile.. /sigh I tolerate...
Could probably use a poll of some sort imo.
Straight talk $45/m Why pay over a 100 bucks for the same crap you can less than 50.
Prepaid, although I rarely top it up.
I rarely use my mobile phone for anything more than receiving calls in fact. If it's someone who I actually give a shit about they'll know to either ring me, email me or send me a message through another Instant messaging medium (Facebook or Steam, usually. I don't use Skype or anything else) if they want to talk to me. I'm fine with people sending me texts but you're damn well going to have to wait until I'm at my computer (Or if I meet you face to face) for a reply; I already pay for my land-line and internet connections, I'm going to damn well use them rather than spend more money for no reason.
If I have to call someone in an emergency I'll usually dial 999 free of charge. Anything that doesn't require the emergency services intervention probably isn't worth the money. I usually always carry change anyway so... if I really, really, really, really needed to call someone I'd use a payphone.
There are also packages and stuff which let you use the interwebs on your phone.
I don't see much of a need for myself. If I wanted to browse the internet I'd either be at home, at a computer elsewhere or cheesing off someones WiFi. If I want to pass the time outside of my house I tend to make sure I have my books, iPods and my 3DS handy... assuming I don't have the company of a good friend.
Besides, I hate contracts. Especially ones which have me paying >£10 a month for something I'm probably not going to use much and will end up forcing myself to use simply to justify the cost.
A poll would've been simpler.
3 year contract that I've been renewing for the past 15 years with the same provider. They tend to give me free phones every time I renew and I can't complain about the service one bit. Last renewal I got a a brand new iPhone 4S for $0, this was when they had just come out.
Still using prepaid I see no reason to pay $80+ a month to access google and facebook when not at home.
That being said I still get private messages from facebook on my phone.
Thankfully here in Finland we've been spared from the bundle bullshit, as in we can buy our phones and plans separately. I've been using a rechargeable prepaid for years now myself, and it works fine. The price to call is pretty much the same, you get extra packages like "all calls are free" to the same provider for something like 5€/month, and so on.
Got two phones. A cheap one (cost me like 20 bucks), which I use with prepaid cards on the street or in places where I can get jumped. It's basically "bait" along with my debit card that only has money when I move just what I will spend into it via online banking. Then I have my other, better phone, a nexus with a Voice, Text and Internet contract that I only use in safe places such as university or my house.
Yeah, I have a bit of a paranoia issue.
As Sydänyö said we can mix contracts, prepaid and phones in many ways around here. Personally I have a contract that costs me 15€ a month and gives me SMS at 0,02€ each, phone calls at 0,02€ per minute to any carrier (with a max cost of 1€ per day, any calls over that "limit" are free of charge) and data up to 21mbps with no data cap.
This is a contract that I could change or leave at any time, although I'm currently paying 24€/month to the same carrier for my Lumia 920, so I'd have to pay off the remaining cost of the phone if I wanted to change the contract or switch carrier.
In total I pay around 45€ a month right now.
Contract, HTC One, unlimited data, 5k texts and a 1000 minutes for £34 a monrh, two year contract.
When I had a dumb phone I was always pay as you go, but on smartphone contract seems better. In the UK we can also mix things around quite a bit with contracts/phones.
For my unlocked smartphone it's £12.90 ($20 US) a month, 1 month rolling contract, for unlimited data and way more free talk time than I use. Seems reasonable to me.
let me tell you something quick about att practice and how stupid they are
Before i lay my eyes on the 840g i saw a refurbish att fusion 2 w/ android for 49.99 as prepaid and i couldn't get it because there system prevent me to just by the phone itself and FORCE me to buy a plans even thought i want to unlocked it so i did the next best thing i call them and guess what more att bull**** so now i know how when gen 1 iphone buyer and they want to jailbreak it fell and how att treat them
ATT YOU STINK !

Contract. A bit obnoxiously expensive, but Verizon's just so wildly superior to other carriers that I'm OK with just paying their prices.
2 yr contract Galaxy S3 at $60/month. I find prepaid to be too much of a bother, I mean sure you can control your spending but I hardly use my credit as is so for me it's more convenient to not have to recharge every 30 days or whatever.
