The elder scrolls six will take place five years after skyrim, the Dovakhiin is currently hunting down the last of the dragons so he is no where, you are the Savior of the Empire, your father is the current emperor, because of the thalmors influence the emperor can be any race (you have a fallout three styled character maker. . He is growing tired of the thalmor. He prepares to wipe out the thalmor but is assassinated, you are then taken to a thalmor cell to rot. You then one night here the cell open, one of your father's generals. The game revolves around you convincing all the races but high elves to band together and wipe out the thalmor. The rest of the high elves will become slaves. The end game goal will you becoming the emperor of the empire. Oh and I do think it's possible the Dwemer could come back I think it'd be interesting to find a secret island of some description.

I highly doubt seeing a 6th installment in the elder scrolls series before 2017 or 2016 due to the fact that development and resources are all being used for the production of ESO and since its an MMO it would most likely be a cash cow until people lose interest with it.

They're not making TES 6 next, they're making Fallout 4, that's their development cycle now.

I don't know where people started believing that because TESO is coming, it automatically means that they won't be making installments to the single player games? People don't read up too much before making outlandish statements. Two separate design studios = two different teams = different games being developed. I read an article the other day about Bethesda talking about pre-production on something exciting for Elder Scrolls fans, or something of that nature, and someone had to comment saying "I hate how Bethesda is charging a monthly subscription to play the new Skyrim." Hatred consumed me.

Fallout 3 didn't garner nearly as much financial success as Skyrim, maybe even Oblivion. It'd be smart of them to release TES 6 by 2015 or so.

Not really. Would rather them not turning the series into cod or ac eventually.
There's been a lot of rumors and talks about Fallout 4 but nothing about TES VI. My guess the next game will indeed be Fallout 4, then a year or two for patching and DLC and only then an announcement of TES VI which afterwards will be released in a year. TESO by that time will show whether it will stand or drown also.

The Khajiit NPC's always make Elsweyr sound amazing... arid deserts with sands that conceal forgotten cities buried in the dunes, lush tropical forests filled with dangerous creatures.

Sounds like an awesome place to me. It borders cyrodiil and valenwood, making it a great staging point for a confrontation with the Thalmor.

I hope TESO crashes and burns quickly before it has a chance to damage the franchises continuity.

OT: I fully expect them to give us some information withing this or next year. In the end Skyrim is already 2 years old.

Considering TESO takes place thousands of years before any of the TES games, unless the next TES game takes place in the past, there is no continuity to damage...

Except WoW took place right after WC3 while TESO takes place BEFORE any TES 1-5 happened. That's why they can create new lore for TESO and for TES.

There are lore in TES series that go way back, at the time when TESO take place. So I don't think they'll go follow that stuff, right.

They already shat on the well established lore of that period by having these absolutely fucked up factions drawn out of pit of implausibility.

I'm not understanding why anyone would think TES6 will not "see the light of day." Skyrim was a huge success for Beth. I think Fallout will, probably, be next. But there will be another TES game besides the online one. My only hope is they develop a new engine for it instead of reusing old crap. Trying to guess the timeline is pointless though. There are few, if any, games out that have the rich lore and history of the series.
