    How much is your Phone?

How much do you pay a month for your phone contract and how many years is it? Also what phone? and what Country? Provider?

Samsung Galaxy S4 / Canada / 80$ a month unlimited calling, and texting. 500mb data, caller ID , Voicemail. With Bell.

Curious as it was one of the lower plans I could of got.

$0 iPhone 4s. Company pays for me. Don't really need it, but a freebie is a freebie.
Rincewind: Ah! We may, in fact, have reached the root of the problem. However it's a silly problem and so I am suddenly going to stop talking to you.

I paid nothing out of pocket, around $40/month for unlimited data and texts. There's some limit on calling, but I don't call much, and it's unlimited night and weekend. Family plan, through Sprint, LG G2 phone.

Holy shit, your plan is owning mine and we both have pretty much same phone and country. Mmm you paid off you contract to leave bell? Who are you with now?

    I-phone 4s / $1 for the phone itself / $32 a month / AT&T / USA

And that $32 a month is covering way more than I need and I use my phone daily for work and friends/family

Samsung Note3 when it originally came out. Australia Optus, $0 upfront on a 24 month contract at $60/month + $5 handset repayments so $65 per month all up. 200 minutes of free voice, unlimited text and 1.5gb data limit.

    Nexus 4 - $300 paid over 20 months
    TMobile USA - no contract
    ~$60/mo w/ fees & taxes
    4GB 4G data / unlimited 3G, 500 minutes (I use like 100 during peak), unlimited texts, etc..

If my phone ever dies, I'll consider republicwireless.com, which in San Francisco at least has the same service, better data, unlimited everything, for $40/mo. Catch is you have to use their phones, and I don't know if they go off network. Their phones only includes moto-x and moto-g, but I prefer my nexus. Key feature for them is the way their cellular service works over wifi, if you're in another country and your phone is connected to wifi, you can send/receive texts, calls, etc, as if you were on GSM regularly. I might just pick up a $5/mo wifi-only phone for my international travel.

Somethings been on my mind. My 2 year contract is coming to a end and I usually take advantage of it by getting a 400$+ phone for 50-100$. I notice not everyone is doing this now but rather making you buy the phone and pay it off per month plus your bill. Is this the norm?

Anyway S note 2 and my gfs s3 on att. we pay 120$ a month for unlimited talk text and 6gb(maybe) of data.

Most companies you can still do a contract they just don't advertise it.

Also everyone should ask if the company they work for gets a discount from your carrier. Most carriers have thousands of companies they give discounts to.

    1. Yeah, having a 4th player in the market helps shake up Bull, Robbers, and Telus' comfortable little arrangement with each other. Look at their sites sometime, comparing the prices you get if you tell them you live in Ontario vs. telling them you live in Saskatchewan/Manitoba. It's enlightening.

    2. Yes. I bailed on them (Actually, I was with Virgin, who are owned by Bell, and I was on their "supertab" thingy rather than a contract) when they announced their little "We're going to log fucking everything you do and sell it to anyone interested" scheme last year and had the gall to claim that "our customers want to be tracked"

    3. As I said, Sasktel.

    HTC One, Sprint
    United States
    Unlimited

    $70/mo

I haven't taken advantage of it but this plan also lets me add a tablet for $5-10 more a month.

After rebates and everything, my phone was 25 bucks. Verizon "legacy" plan, kept almost all my old plans shiny things, for the same price. Hadn't upgraded/changed phones in 4 years. The 450 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data for 100 bucks after taxes became 450 minutes, unlimited text, 6 Gig of data for 100 bucks, after taxes.

I don't "Talk" much, text a fair bit, but I use between 3-5 Gig of data per month. Verizon has better area coverage nationwide, while AT&T has speed, but lacks coverage that I'm looking for. Plus I don't like AT&T.
