Why are people so unwilling to do more than just cap in 2v2?

I haven't had this hard a time to find people to go for rating with, do RBG's with or even farm 3v3 just for wins (mount achiev) in all the years I play.

People want to cap 2v2, and that's all basically...
What's the point of capping when you don't put the gear to use anyway?

As Lulbalance said there is like 3 comps that actully are viable for high rating unless you are very very good (like 2500+) then you might make some wierd comps work.

I find when i play 2's i spend most matches getting feared into a dominate mind and being controlled by someone else ( sooooo fun btw )

Who says they aren't putting the gear to use? Maybe they're capping and taking that superior gear into battlegrounds, which are more fun to them. Like it or not, arena won't ever be as popular as battlegrounds, especially with healing and crowd control as strong as they are.

OP, 2v2 is for capping, if you want ratings, go 3v3. Nobody takes 2v2 seriously. Yes, because it is too predictable and boring.

2's are little better than duels. 2's can't be balanced; too many rock-paper-scissors scenarios there.

2's are aids, riddled with Balance Druids and Warr/Healer or Monk/Healer teams which just make the game so boring to play. I hate capping in 2's as a healer but sometimes your friends just aren't on or up for it. If 2's wasn't so abhorrently broken it might be a fun thing but since Warr/Healer, Monk/Healer and Balance Druids tend to dominate it, if you're not one of those you're not gonna have a good time.

2's is crazy boring, super repetitive, and each match usually takes a REALLY long time (i.e. super repetitive and boring) at any higher than typical capping mmr.

because if you don't have a good mmr you don't have to fight gladiators in 2s

they're bad, you're bad... it's kind of like winning a call of heads and tails. gear also accounts for a disgusting amount of player output in this expansion so even if those players only do random battlegrounds they know they will never have to blame a gear difference when they go up against someone who puts them down.

2s has no rewards/titles. It's basically just glorified dueling where dps/healer comps ruin everyone's fun. I only use it to cap out quickly, as do most other people.

3s is a lot more balanced and fun. In my opinion, of course.

3s is a LOT more balanced (Blizzard say so themselves) and a LOT more fun (that is just my opinion). Besides, with a couple of talented players I find it´s way faster to cap in 3s. Matches in 2s are really tiresome more often than not.

TRUTH: these people are not real pvp players, they are farmers. They make themselves feel better by having full set, at least, because theres nothing else they can achieve.
