Daily Quests - How many do you want / day?

    What ho,

Considering the discussion around traditional daily quests and the apexis daily quests we got in Warlords of Draenor, I think it would be interesting to find out exactly what the community wants. Assuming Blizzard goes back a bit to the traditional Daily Quest system in 7.0.

Daily Quests - How many do you want / day?

As many as I want on a given day?

I have always thought daily quests were a crap idea. If I want to do a repeatable quest 10 times today then why can't I? Put a weekly cap on it FFS. This penchant WoW has had for logging in every day of the week is pretty dumb, dailies are just a relic of that idea - that came back in force with garrisons. If I can play one hour a day or 7 hours on a weekend, I should come out EXACTLY the same. Any concept to the contrary can piss right off as far as I am concerned.

I don't like dailies, done so many back in the days and Im tired.
I can take daily profession cd, daily reward for bgs/dungeons.

Voted "6-10", myself. This assuming "in total" though.
I'd be completely fine with 2-3 daily quests per each reputation, per day (in addition to Rep-per-Kill, to whomever wants to farm them that way); With some extra dailies also thrown in the middle (cooking\fishing\whatnots), but keeping it to that 6-10 daily amount.

As many as I feel like doing. People need to realize that dailies are NOT a bad thing. It gives you a reason to visit each zone per day and have engaging gameplay, not like the current "gameplay" where followers go out and explore.

I didn't start playing WoW until a few months before 5.2, so I never felt like I needed to do dailies to get gear. However, I can see that Blizzard fucked up by essentially gating gear progression behind faction rewards. I understand why people were upset, but if those patterns and epic gear were never part of the reputation rewards, would dailies have been an issue? Would we be in the situation we're in now with no dailies and very little outdoor content?

So, to answer your question, I loved dailies. I would like to see anywhere between 10-20 per day, just enough to keep me busy for a lottle bit and keep me logging in per day.

I dont mind dailys, when they arent tied to gear like they were in Mop. I would like it each WoD faction would have 2-5 dailys to reduce the mindless grinding

I want 6-10 and I want them like this:

    - Have a rotating pool of dailies - whereby 30-40 exist but only 6 are available each day to keep them fresh (note, the number of dailies does not effect the length of play time, these dailies could still give you an hours play session)

    - Have a weekly one time quest, or series or quests, for story progression that is unlocked through doing the dailies (5.1)

    - Attach rewards that are not mandatory, but are valid loot rewards for all players, with cosmetics and mounts also.

Basically, 5.1 or 5.2 is spot on.

How about having something like 50-75 in the world but re-instating the max 25 limit we had before? This way there's content, there's choice, and people won't feel forced to do them all, only 25 of them.

Unless there is important rewards tied to them, like enchants or gear... in that case you need to do them all, but it will take longer because they are locked in a daily quest cap. But if it would just be pets, toys, transmogear etc... why not, at least there is something to do for those enjoying daily quests but that's not forcing everyone and their mom to do them.

If the daily reward is NOT normal raid gear, no one will do it, LoL.
If the daily reward is normal raid gear, the raiders complain and feel like "forced to do non-raid content."

Currently, Blizzard is in "favorite raiders mode".
Don't expect any daily this expansion.

Well, I think good enough people did netherdrake dailies, and perhaps the similar ones for panda dragons last xpac, and the argent tournament ones. But people could also skip them if they didn't feel like doing them and be good enough anyway.

The best daily content design for me was Isle of Thunder (or 5.1 Krasarang series). A hub with small number of variable dailies, plus story quest once per some reputation/progress mileage is reached. With meaningful rewards - I mean, at least give us some unique cosmetic items, like Shadopan t-mog hat or krasarang fishermen panda fishing rod. With both mobgrind and once per quest completed gaining reputation options.
No more time wasted in WoW.. still reading this awesome forum, though

I'm sorry who the fuck made you the king of People?
I really don't need to have same crappy quests repeating daily forcing me to run around the world in name of your gameplay.

I'd rather have 0 boring dailies, they're rubbish. If I run out of things to do, I log off and play something else.
Having to do quests to unlock some story is fine though. But having "daily hubs" is just so boring I'd rather watch paint dry.

Same amount, as at start of WotLK (before ICC overflood, that caused extreme burnout and loss of any desire to do dailies) - not more, then 3-10 fast dailies a day.

    I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.

Indeed, the Argent Tournament for example was great (well, the raid not so great, but talking about the zone and the quests). It offered largely cosmetic things as most items were actually a bit worse than raiding gear, it offered cosmetic stuff and it was quite great. The dailes were there yet you were not forced to do them as they weren't tied to some enchant or super great item you could only get that way.

Voted 6-10. One thing they did right was 5.1 and 5.2. Something like that and I'd be very happy. Was hoping Tanaan would be like that

A mini hub in every apexis area. I don't know what number that comes out to, but it's a lot more than 25.

I wouldn't mind 4-5 per reputation. The rep grinds in WoD are way too grindy for my liking, particularly the laughing skull rep. A few quests to help the rep grind along would be nice i think.
