Acherus in Legion Expansion

So, I guess this might have been a blink-and-miss-it sort of moment, but it seems like Acherus will be coming to the new continent, as seen on the screenshot I took from the gamescom presentation of the zones here

I wouldn't be so sure. The other class halls we know about are nowhere near the main continent. Acherus might be there for story reasons to make DKs relevant again, and our class hall could be somewhere different completely. Perhaps we could kick back in the empty halls of ICC.

Would be kind of cruel for DK's to get their class hall near the new continent, while paladins for example get theirs under Light's Hope Chapel according to the announcement, kind of a fair distance difference. I certainly wouldn't mind though, if acherus was our class hall.

Just makes sense that they use Acherus for our class hall IMO, it's pre-made so leaves them more time to focus on the other ones. Agreed it's strange that it's on the new continent but then it floats so maybe the driver was like "screw it, let's make this shit easier and move it closer to the action"

I'm really hoping to get something entirely new, ideally out in Icecrown. I dislike the thought of using a rehashed existing structure and layout when every other class would get something new and unique.

See bottom-right corner, east of Dalaran and Broken Shores, north of Thal'Dranath (i.e. directly north of where Tomb of Sargeras is). I think it gives us a very nice location, especially if flying is enabled before end of the expansion - close distance to fly to raid portal.



Also, since I hated Dalaran, at least somewhere to hang out in that is close enough to the "Main Hub".

That was the compensation for having no class trainers in the world, back when they were relevant. Now? It's that place you go back to to runeforge a new weapon, or if you just rolled a DK alt and otherwise never go near. You can say the same for how Rogues have had Ravenholdt manor since day one, but you can bet at the least, it will gain an additional area within. Monks have the Peak, they'll get a new addition or new area.

It also seems weird when they are putting other classes all around the world, to just stick us right in the new content =/

I like that they're spreading class halls out. It will help keep the world relevant insofar as it means people will travel/hearth to them and then fly/portal out later. I also do like the idea of monks kicking it at the monastery, dks at archerus and rogues at Ravenholdt. Hmm, can we pick out where others (not yet announced) will be? Druids at the Cata Zone/world tree, maybe? Paladins under Light's Hope we know.

Also.. last time I checked... DK's home is mobile. Mobile as in being able to move around.

A basement/cave is not so movable.
