I've seen a lot of salt lately over affliction locks in PVP. Nerfs not surprising. Glad they are separating PVE/PVP for this type of change.

Blame all the aff lock bots in pvp for this. Without a script the damage is really not that op.

Lol...I'm assuming you haven't done any 1950+ RBGs? The difference between a bots total damage and a humans is huge. When you learn how to play against those bots is when you can do better than a bot. Also the bot does all your dots/damage while you can focus on movement and CC's. *Almost* every single top warlock bots in high rated RBGs. These bots are a big reason why Aff got nerfed in PvP otherwise you'd have a very bad time trying to optimally keep up all those dots while CC'ing and moving. It's possible, but it's such a horrible and unfun experience.
*Optimally* playing Aff lock in high rated RBGs is extremely hard. You'll realize how annoying it is to constantly go against bots that instantly lock you/cc you out of casts. And trying to top damage as an Affliction by playing your class to it's max potential in these conditions of bots everywhere is what makes it horrible and unfun. Keeping track of your movement, making sure you have almost perfect positioning, making your CC's as efficient as possible, CC's on others, trinket procs, SB: Haunt uptimes, all the while trying to optimize your damage and keep up 95% uptime on your dots against 6+ targets against bots is what makes it unfun. It's extremely annoying sometimes and you'll have to really experience it to get a good idea of what I'm saying.
You seem to have missed the point of affliction.
Maybe a ret pally would be more in your wheelhouse...
Color me incredulous but there is a program that can track the status of dots on "6+ targets," knows when you move so it will repriortize instant casts over UA, knows that one of your "6+" targets are about to heal AT AN OPTIMAL MOMENT...so you better interrupt, as well as maintaining 100% uptime on dots.
Sounds like urban legend to me. And no, I don't do high end rated PvP any more...not because of these mythical bots but because I generally find players that do to be annoying.
