I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Creating a whole expansion takes time. Unless you really start sacrificing quality and reuse a lot of assets it's just not doable. If it's truly a money grab as many seem to think it's not a very good one since it'll only work one time for a lot of people. This model lost them a whole lot of subscribers, probably permanently. It would be a whole lot better to double the length of an expansion and fill it with content patches in order to avoid these year long droughts.
When I saw the title of this thread I thought I'll bite, then when I saw who the OP is I should have realized it was just another QQ post by them..
And as others have said stuff happens that is not always foreseen..

But you still suffered the negative effects that were justified by the plan of yearly expansions, which was the less content you got in WoD. It looks like the yearly expansion bit was just a way for them to justify producing less content. So why don't you feel betrayed by that?
I kinda agree ... but if it was done in an orderly manner like 1.5 raid tier and a few dungeons etc per year it could work.
It does sound like way to much work to trow into a year and way to much things to finish off for a casual player.
I don't know, Id have to see it worked out before I can say yes or no to it I guess!
Because they didn't do anything to make me feel "betrayed"
To be honest I would be more interested in new dungeons more than raids, cause since my guild atm is taking a break till Legion, dungeon groups is the biggest we can form and i'm not going to abandon my guild only because of the lack of progress. Also,I wouldn't call it a betrayal,I would call it slacking.Main aspect i'm interested in this game is lore, and in comparison to other expansions,WoD lacks it.All we got with Tanaan was a small garrison campaign and an endless orc meat grinding fest in Tanaan, without any background.Do I feel betrayed? No. Am I pissed about their attitude? Yes.

I'd like to know some stuff myself:
Why do you make so many incredibly stupid topics?
Why do you give a brilliant character like Samus a bad name with your obnoxious posts?
Why do you worry so much about how other people feel/spend their time?
If you're so fed up with WoW, why are you still clearly obsessed with it?
Don't you have better things to do with your time (obviously you don't)?
Oh and to answer the wad of dumb that is your original question, I don't feel 'betrayed' because I'm not an idiot, and because I understand how game development works. Plans change, content gets cut or altered or adjusted in every.single.game out there. As your posts have reinforced many times in recent days, WoW just happens to have an especially vocal group of morons that don't understand those things.

Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.
Ever think that they were hoping to be able to do yearly expansions which they were trying to do, but it didn't work out the way they were wanting and in a lot of cases that was why WoD felt rushed to some..
Now that they have to a point realized that they are unable to do yearly expansions. And by the looks of it they are back to what they know best and have expansions every two years.. As unlike content patches expansions take a lot more time to make properly and I think that they realized that now maybe..
Also the best thing about not being in a alpha/beta is that when Legion does hit it will be new to a lot of people, and by how things are going it looks like it is going to be a good expac..
OP, stop making stupid threads. The last 2 threads I've read were created by you and flamed by many. I don't feel betrayed because my life isn't tied to a video game.
The game is still fun af to me even after 11 years. Blizzard have done a decent job with WOD. The raids have been great, I had some of the most fun to date with BRF and HFC, even Highmaul was good.
Garrisons get stale after a while is probably one of the negative things I have to say if I had to say something bad.. Other than that the Xpack has been on par with the past few.
You shouldn't feel betrayed by a gaming company though dude. I mean common, if you don't like something, don't pay for it. There's plenty of other games out there that are just as entertaining!

Honestly I don't care how long it takes. To quote Shigeru Miyamoto "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad". I would rather they launch Legion in September and have it be good than launch in June and have it be another Warlords.
So you mean the company that used to have gaps between expansions of like 8 months, like between TBC and Wrath, can, even when cutting out a whole raid tier, and with the biggest team ever - remember it's supposed to be 40% bigger or so - not avoid a content drought of like 12 months, or maybe even more?
Are they that incompetent? Is that your defense?
Honestly with all of the things that happened over the last years with Blizzard, I'm much more willing to believe in a malicious intent than mere incompetence.
