I need an update. Is it good or bad to not know these things? Cause I'm recalling making fun of people who didn't know where Iraq was.

    Eh what do I know.

    The Warmonger
    The Liar
Or Some guy that doesn't know that Apello is a city in Syria?

Gary Johnson is not an appealing candidate, as evidenced by his polling numbers. Saying so doesn't make you a brilliant and insightful person. Just sayin...
Exciting stuff. More analysis at 10.

Ok then...Gary Johnson is a complete fraud. He ran on a law and order ticket to get into New Mexico. He made prison sentences stiffer whilst privitising prisons (whom donated to him), slashed taxes, slashed social programs and privitised schools. His prison policies lead to riots, violence and death, so bad that it was condemned by HRW. He almost blew New Mexicos budgets when he handed over a completely corrupt roads contact the the Koch industries subsidiary (the Kochs being the major financer of the Libertarian Party) and locked the residents in a 20 year contract that is essentially the handover of half a billion to billionaires offshore funds that inturn fund him.

Its no shock this retard doesn't know where Aleppo is. Hes a far right republican who is third world corrupt, wants to dismantle all of America's social programs and shove everyone in 3 strike private supermax.

WOW. See, now that is interesting! Now we have something to discuss. Isn't this fun?

I know a lot of people who think Gary Johnson is sort of goofy and not good at public speaking. I didn't know there people that were full on tin foil over the guy. I really thought the knock was just that he was a dork.

So many conspiracy theories but which one to dismantle first? How about the off shore funds one, since that is easy and I don't know the facts of your other issues. Americans can't divert funds offshore to avoid taxes. At least, not legally. It's the only country on the planet that taxes all income, regardless of where you made it.

I just thought it was a bit odd that the news latched onto this more than the fact that a 3rd party has been trying to get into the debates and was starting to succeed at getting their numbers where they needed to be. The latter seems the more interesting story to me regardless of what their policies might be.
One of these days, I should probably figure out a decent signature.

    Sorry, I worded that wrongly.

I should have phrased that as does anyone expect a Libertarian candidate to be skilled at handling international matters.

The platform is basically designed around either isolationism or just a lack of focus on international issues -- it's really a domestic platform. It isn't surprising that he would get tripped up on foreign policy questions.

Qualification is probably a bad word. I should have said skilled or something similar. Seems that foreign policy is a real problem for the Libertarian Party. *shrug*

    My bad on the phrasing.

No offense but, this is pretty standard for the media. They tear down anyone that isn't a democrat. Faux News is the same way, only reversed obviously. When I was a kid, we all just assumed the media was full of crap. I don't know how that lesson got lost generation to generation.

I understand your point and what you were trying to say now. Correct me if I am wrong, you are saying Libertarianism is incompatible with foreign policy offices? I think if we are discussing the extreme Libertarian Ron Paul stance ("we have nukes, why can't Iran", I could not agree more. However, the notion that the US intervenes too often is pretty widespread around the world. Of course, it's fallacy because the outrage is equal for instances where we did not intervene. However, I think many around the globe would cheer at the notion of a Libertarian US president.

Perfect example of the Media being a huge bias piece of shit. Do I really need too point out the faults of Clinton or Trump?

    Just fucking ludicrous.

Perhaps, but they are still smarter than anyone who votes D or R this election.

I was really leaning toward Libertarian Party for my vote. This gaff is serious to me, but I will not say he is off my radar.

My biggest problem was when I watched G. Johnson in the two town halls he seemed a bit out of it. He really looked towards Bill Weld when asked about foreign policy. He looked lost. Now you can put a positive spin on it, by saying he knows his weaknesses and defers to the guy with more experience, or he is not a strong leader.

More than ever, I wish he would be in the debates to see if he can lead.

I think there is a difference between non-intervention and isolationism.

And you are right, there are various degrees to which the Libertarian party swings on that score.

I would also agree that we could use a little less romping around in the world. I would like to see more of a coalition approach with other countries taking the lead for a change. If nothing else all of that money could be used domestically -- and is badly needed.

If we could just get even one other nation to build an actual modern navy, that alone would save us a fortune. Policing 2/3 of the planet is expensive. We need Europe to stop taking advantage of our might, and start building a reasonable military as well.

Actually when I was a kid the news was actually about reporting what happened, where and why. Then again I'm old, so I dont know when it changed into whatever it is now.
