According to buzz after Legion's reveal at Gamescom, Blizzard hasn't even shown us the tip of the iceberg yet because they don't want to be seen as cutting something they can't deliver on. It's possible, and probable, but we won't know until we're playing it
On a personal note, I'd love for us to have an entire world-incorporating expansion.
I can see blizzard trying to pull that toon back into the main story because it would make gamers remember a better time in wow. Another PR move like, "WoD is getting back to TBC days we all loved" but it turned BS real fast. More of a marketing scheme mostly but yea. I could see blizzard re-using him.
Well, you could also ask something a long the lines of. Will the watchers in ulduar suddenly find the door out and help us clear the legion scum? Could it in fact be in the next patch?
There's no real evidence that Bolvar has anything to do with Legion, but we will eventually find out I suppose after a few reveals.
Personally I don't think so though.
they dont need to remake northrend, lich king can come to the isle, and be a part of some "council". why changing north for that?

who cares about ulduar?
lol? bolvar hasnt got anything to do with the legion?!?!?! sorry but who created the lich king and helm of damnation?!?! a unicorn?! no, that was kil'jaeden
Frost DK's are going back to ICC as part of their Artifact quest to recover the Frostmourne Shards to forge their Artifacts, I'm sure we'll get some new Lich King lore then.
This. I dont think that they'll be able just scrounge the shards together without getting attention from Bolvar.
"Bolvar: ZZzzzzzz...Whaaaa?! Oh, it's just you, scraping Frostmourne's shards for whatever reason, what could go wrong?...'mkay -scratches his ass and goes back to sleep- "
They killed the Lich King (Ner'Zhul) in a book.
All that is left is a human with a helm (Bolvar)
yeah ner'zul died just before arthas rose up from his throne...
also why should bolvar say something when we go near frostmourne? i am sure blizzard will screw that part where we just go collect without atracting bolvars attension.
What I see happening, possibly, is that Fordragon aka the new LK asks for help to control the undead because they are getting restless. This is where we have that artifact quest that could appear, where we have to kill a ton of undead for the death knight weapon upgrade, as told at Gamecon in germany. Would be cool if they implemented that.
Its actually very possible that 'the lich king' - now Bolvar shell, may make some small cameo in Legion. After all he was created by the Legion, and with the possibility of K'J making an appearance, the Sylvanas story continuing - even illidan has a history with him.
Going to claim the shards of Frostmourne would be a good place to have him pop up in some way perhaps.
And to the people claiming he is dead, go back to ICC check again, he is very clearly still around in some form.
I doubt anything would happen, but if it would this would be my guess.
Illidan will hear that the lich king has been defeated, he will be intrigued by the premise and pay the frozen throne a visit. Afterall, Arthas defeated him at the base of the throne, so things can get interesting.
I would think the titans creations would care about the legion invading one of their masters created planets.
When I said. "Theres no evidence that bolvar has anything to do with legion." I meant there's no evidence he has anything to do with legion expansion, not the demon legion. I don't judge you for understanding it wrong though.
please, no more "returns" make something new -.- really is getting old now LK was great same with wotlk but srsly they need to stop bringing people back
I could see them having us get so overwhelmed and desperate as to find Bolvar and the Scourge as our only option - the heroes of the world are going to need all they can get to fend off the Legion.
Ner'zhul dying in the book was kinda "meh" to me, but I feel like they did it to justify how he didn't know in ICC that his plan to lure in the heroes and Tirion Fordring would ultimately lead to his demise, something Ner'zhul probably did or would have foreseen, but Arthas, in his arrogance, would never know because he "kills" what is left of Ner'zhul. I think that's really why they did it that way; otherwise, Arthas would've known Tirion would get desperate aid from the Naaru or whatever it was and blow up Frostmourne.
I don't know that I'd like to see what I suggest above happening, but I do hope that when we venture into ICC to get those shards that we get some plot as to what Bolvar's up to/how much Scourge is left.
