I've been playing on the Realm Argent Dawn-EU (RP - Realm) For quite a while now and some time ago this guy called Noellus, Was "spamming" Trade channel every day with random jokes, provoking people into dueling him, annoying people that didn't PVP and disturbing RP players in anyway he could.. (He was kind of amusing)..

Now some time after noellus got banned/quit WoW This Draenei Female Torniquet started taking over Trade channel.. He/She (Probably "he" so for my convenients i'll call him a "he") Claiming that Trade channel is his and that he renamed the channel to Torniquets channel, His jokes are all based on the use and looks of Draenei tails.. So i whispered him and asked why he's always spamming on trade channel, but he didn't reply sadly.(He's also the first person to reply on people that ask for class and in generally Help/Proffession services so i guess he's not a bad person..)

Anyway, I asked myself if its only something that happens on Argent Dawn and or RP realms.. or if its something that happens on PVP realms aswell..

So if you could tell me if such people appeared on your realm and or what they did on trade channel to be remembered by, please post it here i would like to know it.

As the title says and as im trying to explain.. these people do not go ANAL this anal that... They "Rule" Trade channel and act like its their own, people follow them :/

And if this is the case everywhere id still like to know what they do to achieve/ keep up their fame...

TIm pretty sure trade is still in character, so they could "claim" trade as their own, but really only for the purposes of role playing.

Actualy, Trade is treated as an OOC channel by Blizzard. General is "IC" in that it should be used to discuss lore facts and not random crap, but trade is free for all.

I wish it was that set in stone. People who have a bad day tend to look at trade channel, find any name that MIGHT not sound RP, it could be anything, and then report them.

Nameing rules in trade still have to abide since they'll also be seen around the server.

No. That sounds a lot better than my server. We have a core of maybe a dozen players who take over trade when it gets late, but generally they confine themselves to pointless bickering and irritating anal or anal-esque spam.

I'd quite like to have someone with a bit of personality, or at least a basic level of intelligence and courtesy take over, but if anyone tried it they'd be bullied off.

I don't see many people "owning" trade chat on my server, but there are the "notable" players that you can always catch saying ridiculous things.

Most trade chats consist of Anal [x] jokes, Chuck Norris jokes, Thunderfury jokes, and "Girls don't exist on the internet" memes, from what I've seen at least.
